Happy Aloha Friday!

where mists gather is stormHauʻoli aloha Poʻalima.  Ola ike ahe lau makani.
Uliuli kai pali O kahikinui kokolo mai kaʻohu heʻino.  Ohu kilo.

Happy aloha Friday. Life is in a gentle breath of wind
Dark are the sea cliffs of kahikinui;
when the mists creep, it is a sign of a storm.
Creeping rain means Trouble is approaching.

This is taken from a chant in the legend of Pamoano, who saw his own death approaching.  When seeing the dark clouds with rain mists its cleansing Hawaiʻi nei of all bad.  It is refreshing to smell the fresh clean air after a rain.

Me ke aloha,
