Greetings and Welcome to The Hālau!

The Hālau and associated Sanctuarium Ordinis Melchisedech are composed of students, belonging to any religion in the world or to none, who are united by their approval of The Hālau’s Tenets, by their wish to remove religious antagonisms and to draw together people of goodwill whatsoever their religious opinions, and by their desire to study religious truths and to share the results of their studies with others.  Their bond of union is not the profession of a common belief, but a common search and aspiration for Truth. They hold that Truth should be sought by study, by reflection, by purity of life, by devotion to high ideals, and they regard Truth as a prize to be striven for, not as dogma to be imposed by authority.  They consider that belief should be the result of individual study or intuition, and not its antecedent, and should rest on knowledge, not on assertion.  They extend tolerance to all, even to the intolerant, not as a privilege they bestow but as a duty they perform, and they seek to remove ignorance, not punish it.  They see every religion as an expression of the Divine Wisdom and prefer its study to its condemnation, and its practice to proselytism. Peace is their watchword, as Truth is their aim.

The Hālau emphasizes the fact that there is no doctrine, no opinion, by whomsoever taught or held, that is in any way binding on any member of The Hālau or Sanctuarium Ordinis Melchisedech, none which any member is not free to accept or reject.  Approval of its three Tenets is the sole condition of membership.  No teacher, or writer, from The Hālau’s Founder, Victoria Lanakila Generao, onwards has any authority to impose his or her teachings or opinions on members.  Every member has an equal right to follow any school of thought, but has no right to force the choice on any other.  Opinions or beliefs neither bestow privileges nor inflict penalties.  The Hālau’s Governing Council members earnestly request every member of The Hālau to maintain, defend and act upon these fundamental principles of the Circle, and also fearlessly exercise the right of liberty of thought and of expression thereof, within the limits of courtesy and consideration for others.  Since Universal Brotherhood and the Wisdom are undefined and unlimited, and since there is complete freedom for each and every member of The Hālau and Sanctuarium Ordinis Melchisedech in thought and action, The Hālau and Sanctuarium seek ever to maintain their own distinctive and unique characters by remaining free of affiliation or identification with any other organization.

Tenets

The Hālau, Sanctuarium Ordinis Melchisedech, members and students agree to come together by these three Tenets:

• To form a nucleus of the Universal Brotherhood of Humanity, without distinction of race, creed, sex, caste or colour.
• To encourage the study of Comparative Religion, Philosophy and Science.
• To investigate unexplained laws of Nature and the powers latent in man.

The Hālau and Sanctuarium Ordinis Melchisedech offer a variety of classes that cover a myriad of interests.  Classes can be held online or live, on-site.  As a free service to our community, we offer first-time visitors one free 20-minute energy healing session.  Our healing sessions always include full chakra cleansing.

Contact us and join one of our classes and have one of our practitioners work with you.  We can hold on-site Reiki healing sessions at your  workplace!  If your situation requires an actual treatment regimen, we are happy to discuss and further evaluate your condition and work out an appropriate energy exchange.  At no time do we discourage the continued use of allopathic medicine; in fact, we strongly recommend that you consult your physician before undertaking any alternative healing treatment plan.

The opinions expressed by practitioners are not necessarily those of The Hālau. Description of Services.  The Hālau gives users the opportunity to interact with practitioners specializing in many areas, including love and romance, career and personal goals, past life, medium services, dream analysis, tarot, numerology, pet practitioners and more.  Users may speak with practitioners via online chat, email, by telephone or in-person. Both registered and non-registered users may obtain horoscope and other information on the website.  The use of the website is for educational and consulting purposes only and The Hālau does not evaluate or guarantee any advice or information provided by an advisor and is not liable for any reliance by you on such advice or information.

 

Users Must Be Over 18.  This website is only for adults over the age of 18 years.  By accessing the website, any pages contained therein and/or any of The Hālau via the telephone or internet or in person you agree that you are at least 18 years old.  If The Hālau learns that anyone under the age of 18 seeks to conduct a transaction through the Services, The Hālau will terminate that person’s access to any current service and notify that person not to use the website until they are 18.

 

Services Are For Educational and Consulting Purposes Only.  The Website is brought to you by The Hālau. The website’s services offered via the telephone and/or internet, or in-person are for educational and consulting purposes only.

 

Pricing, Payment, Credit Card Terms & Billing of Services.  You agree to be bound by the pricing and billing practices of The Hālau.  The website accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover via  PayPal.  All charges are payable in United States Dollars.  All Services provided via the Website are offered on a per minute basis.  Currently, the website provides for a single payment options via PayPal or by credit card.  Payments through the website will appear on your credit card statement as “Hālau ’Aha Hui Lanakila”.  The Hālau reserves the right to change its pricing and/or billing practices at any time, in its sole discretion.  All of our regular or special offers are subject to change at any time.

 

Customer Satisfaction.  At The Hālau, we want our customers to be satisfied with our services.  If for any reason your experience does not meet with your satisfaction then we ask that you do the following:  Leave a detailed email at ahlhalau@gmail.com as to why your experience was unsatisfactory.  Please provide as much information as possible including the practitioner’s name and nature of the service provided.  Please provide this information within 72 hours so we may address this problem as soon as possible to resolve the issue.  You may also call or text The Hālau at 253-509-8151 and provide us with the detail described above.

 

Upon receipt of your email or call, we will review your concern.  If our investigation reveals an unsatisfactory service experience, we may credit your account either fully or partially by providing you with substitute minutes or a refund to you.  The method in which The Hālau provides redress, if at all, is at our sole discretion.  It is also the responsibility of the client to terminate the session if, within the first 5 – 10 minutes of commencement of your session, you feel the service rendered is not to your satisfaction, or you feel you do not have a good rapport with the practitioner.  In such a case, your payment will be refunded in full.  However, waiting until the end of the session is not acceptable notice of timely termination of services rendered and no money will be refunded.

 

Conduct of Users.   You must follow the guidelines set forth in this Agreement.  Please be advised that it is not appropriate, and is expressly forbidden by The Hālau and under this agreement to:

 

1. attempt to obtain the personal contact information of the practitioner;
2. use vulgar, harassing, obscene, privacy-invading, or defamatory language during a practitioner’s session;
3. otherwise do anything to disrupt the operation of the website, services or network;
4. attempt to gain unauthorized access of the network to transmit “junk mail”, spam, or other mass mailings;
5. advertise or market any services or products through any means provided by the website and/or The Hālau;
6. post, upload or transmit false or misleading information, or take any action that violates the rights of third parties; or
7. make false statements, or attempt to use financial or other information that you are not authorized to use. Additionally, as a condition of your use of the website, you represent and warrant to The Hālau that you will not use the website for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by the applicable terms, conditions notices of this Agreement. You agree, represent, and warrant that you will not use the website in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden or impair the website or interfere with any other party’s use and enjoyment of the website. You may not attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not intentionally made available or provided for through The Hālau.  You may use the website and/or practitioner services for your own personal, noncommercial use.  No part of the website and or services may be reproduced in any form or incorporated into any information retrieval system, electronic or mechanical.  You may not use, copy, emulate, clone, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer or transfer the website and/or services, website content or any portion thereof.  You may not use any device, software or routine to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the website and/or services. The Hālau reserves any rights not explicitly granted in this Agreement.

Proprietary Rights.  The content, organization, graphics, design, compilation, magnetic translation, digital conversion, software and other matters related to the website and/or practitioner services are protected under applicable copyrights, trademarks and other proprietary (including without limitation, intellectual property) rights. The copying, redistribution or publication by you of any part of the website is strictly prohibited.  Any content posted by you or provided by you becomes the property of The Hālau.  To the extent that content is posted by you or provided by you and contains personally identifiable information, you are referred to the terms of the privacy policy.  You do not acquire ownership rights to any content, document, software, services or other material view at or through this Website. The posting of information or material at the website by The Hālau does not constitute a waiver of any right in such information and/or materials.

Privacy Policy.  The Hālau’s website does not store any credit card information.  The Hālau’s merchant provider is PayPal, and you will make your payment either through your PayPal account or simply using your personal credit card via PayPal.  No credit card information will be taken over the phone.  PayPal is recognized worldwide, and is known for its great service, integrity and security.  All personal information is held in complete confidence.  There is never any sale of personal information to any third party because all pertinent details related to transmitting payment goes through PayPal.  Your request to add or delete your name or personal information from our records will always be honored.  All clients are dealt with on a professional basis.  Because our privacy policy is available at the website it is hereby incorporated hereto and made a part of this agreement. Use of the website and/or its services, whether via the Internet or telephone or in-person, is subject to our privacy policy.  We reserve the right to use all information regarding your use of the website and/or its services, whether via the Internet or telephone, including all personally identifiable information in accordance with the terms of our Privacy Policy, stated as follows:

The Reiki healing and/or spiritual services that you are given is personal and private and is only for you. Our services shall not be discussed with or disclosed to any third party.  Session details after completion are not documented, as a practitioner is just a vessel for the information to flow through.  No personal identification details and/or information, such as email addresses, names and the like, is/are released or sold to any third party whatsoever.  Your reading with me will be completely confidential.

 

Indemnification.  You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the website, The Hālau and its associates, associates’ families, subsidiaries and/or affiliates and each of their officers, partners, members, managers, agents and attorneys, co-branders or other partners, and employees, from any and all claims, actions, suits, demands, liabilities, proceedings, judgments, fines, damages, costs, losses and expenses, including but not limited to any settlement costs and/or reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, arising from or relating to your use of the website and/or its practitioner services, whether via the Internet or telephone and any material you submit, post, transmit or make available through the service; your use of the Service and any advice or information obtained thereby; your violation of these Terms and Conditions of Use or any other applicable usage terms, conditions, policies; or requirements, or your infringement or violation of any rights of another, or termination of you access to the website and/or services.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY.  YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL THE HALAU, ITS AFFILIATES OR ITS LICENSORS BE LIABLE TO ANY USER ON ACCOUNT OF THAT USER’S USE OR MISUSE OF AND RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE.  IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LIABILITY OF THE HALAU EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID TO THE HALAU BY ANY USER. SUCH LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SHALL APPLY TO PREVENT RECOVERY OF DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, AND PUNITIVE DAMAGES (EVEN IF THE HALAU, ITS AFFILIATES OR ITS LICENSORS HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES). SUCH LIMITATION SHALL APPLY NOTWITHSTANDING ANY FAILURE OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF ANY LIMITED REMEDY. SUCH LIMITATION SHALL APPLY TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Choice of Law and Venue.  This agreement shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of the State of California, County of Sacramento.  Any and all disputes arising out of this Agreement or the Services referenced herein shall be resolved by mediation, and if such mediation is unsuccessful, by binding arbitration under the auspices of, and pursuant to the commercial arbitration rules of, the American Arbitration Association (AAA) before a single arbitrator and shall be held in or as close as possible to Sacramento, California.

 

Legal Warning.  Any attempt by any individual, whether or not a Hālau member, to damage, destroy, tamper with, vandalize and/or otherwise interfere with the operation of the Website and its Services, internet and telephone base, is a violation of criminal and civil law and The Hālau will diligently pursue any and all remedies against any offending individual or entity to the fullest extent permissible by law and in equity.
