From the Hermit to the High Priestess … Continue your inner retrospection:  trust your inner wisdom.  What you most need to know today you will find within yourself.  Answers will come to you if you can quiet your mind.  Seek a quiet, solitary place and just listen to the voice that comes from deep inside you.  Spend time in solitude and silence.  Pay attention to your dreams.  Trust your intuition.  Notice synchronicity as you go through your days.  Look for the answers you seek within yourself.  Practice spending time in meditation so that you can hear your inner voice and tune in to your own rhythms.

You feel the need or desire to withdraw from the world today.  It is time for deep introspection and meditation.  Your soul is craving a retreat in order to replenish and restore.  By taking space and solitude now, you will be ready to engage with and guide others when they most need you later on.  The answers you seek will be found within you, not in any book or on any website.  Seek guidance of a wise counselor or mentor today.

You may feel frustrated that things aren’t moving as quickly as you’d like today.  Be patient; stop trying to force things to happen.  Take this time of waiting as an opportunity to practice being present with yourself.  You may find that when you let go of your expectations that things turn out differently, and even better, than you’d hoped.  The Hanged Man reversed indicates some sort of separation between your spirituality and the way you live your life.  You may be spiritually insightful, but continually fail at bringing those insights into your everyday actions.  You may even appear to be a hypocrite, saying one thing and then doing the opposite.  This card could even represent someone who uses their elevated spiritual position in immoral and damaging ways.  Beware of people that seem to have a holier-than-thou attitude, and be wary of having this attitude yourself.  You may desire a more spiritually fulfilling life, but you don’t know how to make it so.  You may be over thinking the situation.  The truth is that you’re already a spiritual being.

The structures and systems you’ve built in your life are being shook up.  Assumptions you’ve taken for granted are going to be thrown into question  You are going to be forced to think in brand new ways.  A surprising event, such as being laid off, discovering a betrayal, an unexpected pregnancy, winning the lottery or unexpected expenses (like home or car repair).  Someone could have an emotional outburst that will cause a bit of shock and chaos.  However, the Tower is also indicating that it’s time to shake up your life.  Take a look at your deeply held assumptions – do they still serve you?  Get outside of your normal mode of thinking by taking a trip, getting rid of old belongings, trying something new, or exploring a new philosophy.  Drastic changes are required in your life.
