Kāyena saṃvutā dhīrā,
atho vācāya saṃvutā manasā saṃvutā dhīrā.
Te ve suparisaṃvutā.

The wise are controlled in bodily action,
controlled in speech and controlled in thought.
They are truly well-controlled.
