Ecosystems | Once Doomed, America’s Recovering Bison Are Saving US Ecosystems

After reintroducing the American bison to Flint Hills, which had been eradicated from the land in the mid-1800s, the Great Plains is one step closer to restoring part of an ecosystem that once stretched from Texas to Minnesota. As they return, researchers gain insight into their ecological value.
