Tarot Contemplation – Wheel of Fortune

Hawaiian_Tarot_Wheel_10

In the Big Picture scheme of things, it looks as though things are changing in a more positive direction.  This is a very spiritual and karmically oriented time.  Change is part of the cyclical nature of life … though change itself is very difficult and can almost be traumatic.  If you have been experiencing difficulties in your life recently, remember Gandolf’s maxim:  this too shall pass.  Remember that in nearly all instances, we somehow contribute to what is happening in our lives.  It’s not all blind Fate.  If you’ve been riding high and doing well, keep your perspective:  what goes up must come down because Change is inevitable.  Live in this Now, be grateful for all you have going for yourself in your life, and realize that most everything around you is out of your direct control.  Actually, you ought to be good with all of these notions and roll with the punches.  Remain positive and upbeat.  Financial pressures are easing up a bit, bringing a bit of breathing room for those of us who have been struggling with money matters lately.

Hau’oli Aloha Po’aha

Aloha e Hau’oli la Po’aha. Mai ho’oni i ka wai lana mālie. O ka maluhia no me ‘oe.

Greetings and Happy Thursday. “Do Not Disturb the Water That is Tranquil.” When you find yourself not enjoying the peace and quiet of a supposed relaxing day, remind yourself not to interrupt your own peaceful thoughts. It’s not always easy but it sure makes for a refreshed soul when life starts back up again. Peace be with you.

Tarot Contemplation – Two of Wands

Stay mindful of the give and take required for all successful relationships.  If things are feeling out of balance for you generally, know that they are about to get substantially better.  Keep your eyes on the prize that you’re looking for, metaphorically, and remain or get positive.  A spiritual partnership with just one other person may be greatly beneficial to you now.  Remember too that you are also always spiritually in partnership with yourself as well.  Remember to take time and space to care well for yourself spiritually and emotionally.  This is an essential ingredient to having spiritually successful relationships with others.  Begin with yourself.

Tarot Contemplation – Four of Cups

Wishful thinking can take it’s toll on the spiritual aspect of life.  We can get caught up in self-pity or wistful thoughts of “could have-would have-should have” thinking, which tends to blind us to the beauty of what IS in our lives in this Moment.   Remember to pay attention to what “is” in your Now and the many blessings we each currently experience.  Do not worry so much about what-could-be because it’s too easy to overlook what we already have in the pursuit of what we do not have.  Counting your blessings and remaining constant and grounded in the present moment is key today.  Don’t spend too much time in self-pity or wishing your life away.  A lot of life has to do with where we place our focus.  Place your focus on the things and people in your life for which you ought to be thankful.  Today is a great day to either create and maintain a gratitude journal, or take a moment to make an entry in one you’ve already started.  If you can’t keep such a journal, then write down things you feel grateful for every day on a piece of paper.  Make a list of 20 people, situations and/or things in your life that you are grateful for right now.  This activity will elevate your mindset quickly.

Tarot Contemplation – Three of Swords

Something in your life is harmful and you know it.  Today it is time to let it go.  It’s going to hurt, but this release is also going to create beautiful space for something better.  The sooner you can let go, the sooner you’ll be able to heal.  This card indicates some sort of difficult loss.  Whether it is the end of a relationship, the loss of trust due to betrayal, rejection, losing your job, the end of some sort of ailment through surgery, or letting go of some sort of way of thinking that has ceased to be useful, the loss will not be easy.  However, this release will make room for further grown and maturity.  It is difficult to be optimistic when we are in pain, but pain is a strong motivator to change.  When you feel pain, and do something to fix it, you grow.
