Card of the Day – 9 of Cups – Sunday, July 29, 2018

tarotbycecelia's avatarTarot by Cecelia

Hmmmm…seeing this today makes me wonder a bit, and prompts me to say be careful what you wish for. The 9 of Cups has long been considered the wish card of the Tarot, and, while everyone loves to see it show up, I do feel it should come with a caution today.

We are on the flip side of the longes Lunar Eclipse of the century, and currently have six retrograde heavenly bodies with which to deal, so making a wish may not be exactly the right thing to do at this time. I do not feel it is possible to make an informed wish, if there is even such a thing, since the energies will be fluctuating until early September. That does not mean that a wish can’t come true today, and I sincerely hope for everyone out there that one does, and it leaves you feeling pleased as…

Card of the Day – King of Wands – Friday, July 27, 2018

tarotbycecelia's avatarTarot by Cecelia

img_5419

Full Moon blessings, everyone! Today is the Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse at 4° Aquarius, otherwise known as a Blood Moon, and this one is being touted as the longest Eclipse of the century. Our amazing King of Wands comes to us today, courtesy of Erik C. Dunne, of Lo Scarabeo fame, and this deck, Tarot Apokalypsis, is nothing short of spectacular; it is my go-to deck for intense readings such as those involving eclipses.

The King of Wands is the “boss man”, not one to be in the trenches side-by-side with the underlings, rather he leads the pack, and for good reason. He possesses that uncanny knack to know what needs to be done, how to delegate the tasks involved, and any other leadership qualities of which you can think. Remember, this is a powerful Eclipse, and you are being called upon to make changes in your life, hopefully…

THE GAME OF PERCEPTIONS

Camelia Elias's avatarTAROFLEXIONS

I have a weakness for the Japanese because I find that they are crazier than myself. That is, I would say that and think that, if I played any identity games – which I don’t. But others think I do – which is amusing.

Let’s see a couple of examples:

As it happens, while I sit on top of a mountain in Norway, a whole shipload of Japanese stuff is being prepared for me, so I can get it by the time I’m back in Denmark in September.

A friend in Kyoto who has an eye on all things tarot, art, kimonos, iron pots, and other peculiar antiquities, is sending me gifts and other things I ordered myself as part of a collector’s sale.

In the process, Japanese paper gets thrown in, along with the request that I provide my measurements. My work is popular in Japan, I’m told, and…

A look to the past reveals some of the most important plants used by Eastern woodland tribes – and an inestimable connection to nature.

My adventure into the historical uses of many Native American plants began when Maine native Kerry Hardy, author of Notes on a Lost Flute: A Field Guide to the Wabanaki, presented a program for Western Maine’s Greater Lovell Land Trust, billed as “Native American Plant Medicine” last summer. So many plants and so many uses! I was intrigued to find out more about these plants and explore the wealth of medicinal knowledge from Eastern Woodlands tribes like the Mohawk, Wyandot {Huron}, and Iroquois. From Hardy’s work, as well as from the research of author Charlotte Erichsen-Brown, I enjoyed a glimpse into how these tribes looked to nature for healing – and how early pioneers benefited from their knowledge.

Daily Tarot | Card of the Day – 10 of Wands – Tuesday, July 24, 2018

tarotbycecelia's avatarTarot by Cecelia

Are you feeling bogged down with too much responsibility? Too much to do? Today’s 10 of Wands is basically here to serve as a final warning of the impending Mercury retrograde which will begin in two short days. Mercury is slowing down now, and Mars is already retrograde, so the chances of you feeling overwhelmed in some area of life are pretty good to say the least.

You always here me say to lighten the load once Mercury enters shadow as it prepares to retrograde. Taking on too much can only create problems in the long run. Maintaining a lighter schedule to allow for Mercury’s shenanigans gives you more opportunity to focus on all of the re- re- re-‘s coming your way. Remember, this is not a time for new ventures. Mercury will resume direct motion on August 19, followed by Mars returning to direct motion in its exalted sign…

Daily Tarot | Card of the Day – Page of Wands – Monday, July 23, 2018

tarotbycecelia's avatarTarot by Cecelia

The Page of Wands has become one of my favorite cards over the past year or so. The Pages are the Messengers of the Tarot, bringing news and the promise of new beginnings. This Page is extremely creative, inspired, and indicative of change; the news which can come at this time can be exciting to say the least, the type of news that makes you kick up your heels and dance.

There is a new path available to you, the question at the moment may be whether or not you wish to take it. This is the most passionate and energetic of the Pages, and may have you looking over whatever comes your way now and how it can play out for you.  The scent of change is in the air, and it is up to you to pay attention and follow through on the message received.

See you here…

DAILY TAROT | Through the Eyes of Tarot – Sun in Leo – July 22 through August 23, 2018

tarotbycecelia's avatarTarot by Cecelia

Turn on your heartlight and let the healing begin. There is a sense of betrayal around your wishes, hopes, and dreams, but that is only for the moment. It is possible that you are feeling as though the Universe is not allowing you to achieve your true identity, but this is only how you feel. You do have everthing you need to create the life that you wish. Remember, that during this time, while the Sun is in Leo, Mercury and Mars are both retrograde, and we will have seven retrogrades taking place at once, for a short while. Do your best not to let your focus to be toward things which did not turn out in your favor, rather turn your attention to all of the possibilities which exist before you with that which remains.

Along your way, there will be surprise events, and revelations as well. You may…
