Mercury reaches greatest elongation at midnight EDT on October19th. The mercurial messenger and Trickster, the most intimate planet to the sun stands 25° East of the Sun. Mercury will soon turn Retrograde on October 31.

Venus is also now barely visible and Mercury and Venus are cheek to cheek.

Uranus reaches opposition to the SUN making it highly visibility tonight. It’s exact at 4 a.m. EDT on the 28th.
