Daily Words of the Buddha for February 01, 2021

Pāli Word a Day for February 01, 2021 — tareti — to go or get through, to cross (a river), pass over, traverse; to get beyond, to surmount, overcome, esp. oghaṃ (the great flood of life, desire, ignorance, etc.)

Aññā hi lābhūpanisā,
aññā nibbānagāminī.
Evametaṃ abhiññāya,
bhikkhu buddhassa sāvako,
sakkāraṃ nābhinandeyya,
vivekamanubrūhaye.

One is the quest for worldly gain,
and quite another is the path to Nibbana.
Clearly understanding this,
let not the monk, the disciple of the Buddha,
be carried away by worldly acclaim,
but develop detachment instead.

Crushed the thorn of sensual desire,
And reached the destruction of delusion
Is not perturbed by pleasures and pains.

Astrology | 2020 World Predictions, Very hard year ahead

Tara Greene www.taratarot.com's avatarTara Greene,Tarot,Astrology,Psychic

These predictions had disappeared in my drafts. I have looked for this all year but not here. I accidentally deleted my 2019 predictions and couldn’t find them anywhere but I just found these now. January 21, 2020, in the Mercury Retrograde shadow so Better late than never.

Originally when I looked into 2020 all I saw was Black for months before. A sign that this is a symbol of death. I had originally seen this same thing in the 2016 Elections when I asked would HIllary Clinton win and that black screen came up which means she would lose.

Magic & Tarot | Knowledge and understanding of your own wisdom

Camelia Elias's avatarTAROFLEXIONS

Information? There’s that. Understanding? Not so much. Information is fast. Understanding takes time.

This January, being a month of clearings on all fronts, I’ve had the opportunity to check with my understanding of what I’m doing. If I spotted the slightest confusion about it, or downright misunderstanding, I took the bull by its horns and remedied what there was to remedy. You can’t make clear what you don’t understand. You can’t clear out confusion, when you lack basic knowledge. I divined with the cards too. I do this to clear my own blind spots, not only those of others.

First I ask the cards about how I understand exactly my position vis-à-vis what I want to achieve. I often think I have enough information about my ways of doing things, but do I also understand why I’m doing things? For what purpose? It’s not a given that knowing yourself equals…

How does one identify volunteers in the field?  Well, the volunteers will appear in the area under and around the mother plant, or in the case of short-lived plants like Wild Lettuce, in the area where the mother plant once prospered but is now gone.  Every seedling has its individual characteristics.  Some will carry the seed coat up above the soil level and may be identified that way.  Others will demonstrate peculiar size, color or smell that help you know exactly what they are.  Practiced gardeners will identify the seedlings because they recognize the plant.  Wild lettuce seedlings have leaves that look like lettuce and are taprooted.  When the taproot is broken, they exude the bitter white latex known as lactucarium, so if the root bleeds white milk, you know you’re on the right track.

We like to leave our best plants to produce seeds, seeds that may be harvested…
