Recipe for Dragon Dust
The main ingredient of Dragon Dust is Dragons Blood. Dragon’s blood is a bright red resin that is obtained from different species of a number of distinct plant genera: Croton, Dracaena, Daemonorops, Calamus rotang and Pterocarpus. However, the most common species to obtain the resin from is Dracaena cinnabari, otherwise known as the Dragon’s Blood Tree.
Some uses for Dragon’s Blood:
When burnt, Dragon’s Blood creates a strong herbal and spicy fragrance. It is traditionally used in Indian ceremonies to get rid of negative energies and spirits and is regarded as having cleansing properties. It’s also calming, and some believe it has aphrodisiacal properties, too, especially if you leave a piece under your mattress.

Sleepy Time Tincture
I was asked the other day about herbs to help aid sleep, for a Menopausal Friend, so I looked through my Course Notes and my Medical Herbalism book and came up with the combination below, I didnt have to make this, as she had most of the ingredients herself, so she was going to give it ago.
Ingredients
- Passionflower
- Skullcap
- Dried Milky Oats or Oat Straw
- Catnip
- Lemon Balm
- Valerian Root
- 80% Brandy
Preparation
- Combine equal parts of your dried herbs in a Mason Jar. The herbs should almost fill the jar, but not be crammed too tightly.
- Add enough alcohol to fill the jar and cover your herbs completely. Put the top on the jar and give a shake to help settle the herbs. Add more alcohol if needed to cover all the herbs.
- To prevent corrosion of the metal lids from the alcohol, you can either use plastic…
