Tarot Contemplation – The World (rev.)

You’re doing a lot of staying at home, staying within your comfort zone.  You might even be agoraphobic.  You are far from finishing what you’ve started working on … it’s not complete. A person (or you might be that person) who thinks they are worldly, or pretends to be worldly, when s/he/you is/are not; someone who is fooling him/herself or others. Knowledge syntax is faulty, or just plain wrong; information given is untrustworthy.  This reversed card could also mean that something is stopping, or blocking, a person from finishing the job.  There is no movement, or ability to create movement … and so you are stagnant.

and the essential to be unessential,
dwelling in wrong thoughts,

Tarot Contemplation – Queen of Cups

This is the most loving Queen in the tarot deck.  She indicates compassion, love and concern for ourselves and our fellow man.  Often when the court cards come up in a reading, they indicate an actual person, in this case a woman, in our lives. For the most part, when the Queen of Cups appears and is standing in for a person, she is representing a female with hair on the lighter end of the spectrum. This female energy is solidly in “your corner” and the women in your life are very supportive of you and/or that a woman will come to your aid.  This queen also reminds you to treat yourself with love and compassion. No matter who and where you are, there are things in you that are worthy of love and respect.  You are likely to be in touch with the inter-relatedness of all beings now.  The Queen of Cups can indicate marked increases in clairvoyant experiences.  Be open to the magical energy of life and feel the love flowing all around you.  A woman may be an important spiritual leader to you now.  Whether male or female yourself, consider feminine archetypes and energy now.  They will lead you into new and deeper spiritual understandings.

Initiation Rites…. Soul Cleansing… Rites of Passage…

Judith Kusel's avatarJudith Kusel

.

The greatest step towards rediscovering my soul, was the day that I decided to hand in my resignation…. Little did I know that the process would lead me to rediscover aspect of myself that I had lost in veils and mists of time….

With this abilities and talents started to emerge, which I had always dreamt of having but never OWNED.

I remember reading books on Edgar Cayce, and marvelling at his ability to read soul records while asleep.  Little would I know that I had the same latent abilities, but hidden and unexplored, mainly because of being brought up in a very conservative family, where one simply did not discuss such things….

In the process of rediscovering and reconnecting with my soul, I have had to shed lots of skins of my previous self… that self that had formed from my childhood, into puberty and then, into adulthood.

Shamanic Animal Appearing … Elephant (resoluteness)

Elephant’s message: Keep a steady pace and don’t give up. You will overcome any obstacle.

The Elephant is certainly a strong creature/   But even bigger than its strength is its steadiness.  Yes, the Elephant can charge and hit hard.  But, it overcomes obstacles thanks to its resoluteness and determination.  This is the message this spirit is delivering now:  Be determined and keep a steady pace  Not too fast, not too slow. See it as a formidable force, which is unstoppable.  Like an avalanche, no obstacle can resist it.  If you are facing a daunting challenge, even if you are tired, don’t get discouraged. By going forward, one step at a time, you will go through it successfully.  And you may even learn a thing or two in the process, as the Elephant is also a very wise being.

Itivuttaka 1.27
The Udāna and the Itivuttaka, trans. John D. Ireland

From “The Way of Walking Alone” by Miyamoto Musashi

The “Dokkōdō” (Japanese: 独行道?) (“The Path of Aloneness”, “The Way to Go Forth Alone”, or “The Way of Walking Alone”), is a short work written by Miyamoto Musashi (宮本 武蔵) a week before he died in 1645. It consists of either nineteen or twenty-one precepts; precepts 4 and 20 are omitted from the former version. “Dokkodo” was largely composed on the occasion of Musashi giving away his possessions in preparation for death, and was dedicated to his favorite disciple, Terao Magonojō (to whom the earlier Go rin no sho [The Book of Five Rings] had also been dedicated), who took them to heart. “Dokkōdō” expresses a stringent, honest, and ascetic view of life.

Tarot Contemplation – Six of Swords

This is a great time for travel of any sort. It also can indicate metaphorical movement, a change in where you are inwardly. Usually this is a change for the better, whether the context is internal or external. Think about where you want to be. Generally, the 6 shows at least a slight reduction in stress and strain. Things may not be perfect, but they are going to be better than they may have been in the recent past. Take this time to get your head above water and decide where you’re going from here. Even a short break or change of scenery will be helpful. This doesn’t have to cost money. You may make the decision, or be in the process of, leaving a job that no longer works for you. Trust that the universe is taking you to where you want to be, an that all this is happening for a reason.  Don’t hesitate to ask for help, or to seek new information, as you are getting your bearings in your new environment. The 6 can also point to a literal change in the place where you do business. This is a good thing.
