Meditation – The Blossoming of Acceptance, by Matt Kahn

It’s okay to feel angry, even if it’s not okay with you.

It’s okay to feel sad, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel fearful, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel confused, even if it’s not okay with you.

It’s okay to feel compulsive, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel heartbroken, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel jealous, even if it’s not okay with you.

It’s okay to feel judgmental, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel misunderstood, even when it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel uninspired, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel ashamed, even if it’s not okay with you.

It’s okay to feel denied, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel empty, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel left out, even if it’s not okay with you.
It’s okay to feel hopeless, even if it’s not okay with you.

No matter how you feel, you deserve more love, not less. When love is not a feeling to chase or hold in place, but the compassionate support that befriends each emotion and embraces how you feel, you are able to find the companionship you desire without abandoning yourself in the process.

In every breath, you deserve more love, not less. This is how acceptance blossoms for the well-being of all. It is the way of heart-centered consciousness.

Random Thoughts … On Negative Thinking

We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out. — Ray Bradbury

Having a hard time getting rid of negative thinking?

Here are a few tips that can help you eliminate negativity and help you to bring a positive spin to your life and make positive thinking easier:

Read books about positive thinking.

When you read books that are positive and uplifting, it helps you to be more positive. Inspirational quotes and affirmations can also help you eliminate more negativity and get into a positive mindset.

Learn how to visualize.

Your imagination and ability to visualize things is an extremely powerful tool. By imagining yourself being positive, and doing more positive actions, your body actually responds in the same way as if you were doing the things that you are imagining. Athletes and other successful people have used visualization for years to help improve themselves and their abilities. By tapping into this ability, you too can eliminate negativity and become more positive.

Focus on using positive words as much as possible.

Avoid negative words, or turn them into their opposite. When thinking, or talking to others, try to always use positive words. Avoid saying I can’t, and start saying I can. This may take some time to put into practice, but as you do it more, it will get easier.

Remember to smile.

Use your smile to project your positive attitude. It is amazing how much of a difference a smile makes. People can actually tell you are smiling when talking to you on the phone, even though they can’t see you smiling. Smiling makes you and those around you feel more positive.

Do not quit – no matter what.

When you quit, you truly fail. What most people think of failure is really just a chance to learn. Often, people quit just before they reach their goal. This is something that successful people know and use all the time. They know that as long as they do not quit, they will eventually achieve what they want.

Become more aware of your negative thoughts.

Learning to recognize when you are having a negative thought and turning it immediately into a positive one is important. It can take time to develop a sense of when you are having negative thoughts, but it is a skill well worth focusing on, so you can change them. Over time, you will find it easier to recognize when you are having a negative thought. Remember it takes time to change a habit, so be persistent.

Make time to do the things that make you happy.

When you take time to do things that make you happy, it can overflow into the rest of your life. Even when life has major challenges, you will find you have more energy to tackle them, if you spend time doing things that make you happy.

Affirmations Improve Your Life

“My body is simply a projection of my beliefs about myself.”

Do you really and truly understand how powerful affirmations are?

Understanding all that you can about affirmations and how they work can give you a boost like you’ve never seen when it comes to changing things for the better.
There is an outstanding number of tools that can be used to improve our lives. The best thing about having so many different tools to choose from is the fact that it allows people to find the tool that works best for their life. Affirmations are one of these tools and just happen to be one of the most commonly chosen when it comes to personal development.

Some people are quite familiar with affirmations and some people have no idea what they are. If you are a bit unfamiliar with affirmations, you are in luck as this article from Success Consciousness should clear things right up for you.

What Are Affirmations?

They are positive statements that describe a desired situation or goal, and are often repeated, until they get impressed on the subconscious mind.

This process, causes the subconscious mind to to strive and to work on your behalf, to make the positive statement come true.

When you know how to use affirmations, you get a great tool for achieving success and for improving your life.

Most people repeat in their minds negative words and statements concerning the situations and events in their lives, and consequently, create undesirable situations. Words work at both ways, to build or destroy. It is the way we use them that determines whether they are going to bring good or harmful results.
Imagine that you are swimming with your friends in a swimming pool.

They swim fifteen rounds, something you have never done before, and since you want to win their respect, you want to show them that you can make it too.

You start swimming, and at the same time keep repeating in your mind, “I can do it, I can do it…”. You keep thinking and believing that you are going to complete the fifteen rounds.

What are you actually doing? You are repeating positive affirmations.

In a different situation, you might find yourself repeating, “I cannot do this”, “It’s too big for me”, “It is not going to work out”, and consequently, lose ambition, motivation and faith, and actually bring about what you said to yourself.

It would be a good idea to pay attention to the words you repeat in your mind, to discover whether you are using negative statements, such as:

•I cannot do this.
•I am too lazy.
•I lack inner strength.
•I am going to fail.

If you discover that these, or similar words, run through your mind, you should do something to change them.

Your words and thoughts program the mind in the same way that commands and scripts program a computer.

Repeated positive statements help you focus your mind on your aim. They also create corresponding mental images in the conscious mind, which affect the subconscious mind accordingly. In this way, you program your subconscious in accordance with your will. This process is similar to the way creative visualization works.able situations. Words work at both ways, to build or destroy.
