Kundalini Yoga Meditation: Ang Sang Wahe Guru

To alleviate feelings of alone-ness … chant ANG SANG WAHE GURU
“The dynamic, loving energy of the Infinite Source of All is dancing within my every cell, and is present in my every limb. My individual consciousness merges with the Universal consciousness.”
— Translation of Ang Sang Wahe Guru, Written by Guru Amar Das
Chanting the mantra “Ang Sang Wahe Guru” celebrates the realization that there is no piece or part of ourselves, no action, and no life that is not already the living vibration of the Infinite. It is all God. We are one.
This mantra can be used to eliminate haunting thoughts, bring peace when there is emotional imbalance, and to counter the phobias and depression that can happen in times of war. “Ang Sang Wahe Guru” is also an expression of deep gratitude, reminding us of our larger connection with the Universe and allowing us to step outside of our limited thought patterns. Listen to it, recite it, sing it – allow it to permeate your being with profound inner peace.

Tarot Contemplation – Eight of Pentacles

You’ve been working diligently and happily on a project, and have completed a great deal of the task.  Your focus is on maintaining the quality of your work, like the craftsman pictured here.  Perhaps sooner than you think you will be employed in steady and rewarding work in which you will need to persevere … it could be a matter that is near completion, or a learning opportunity through work that may seem repetitive.  Regardless, you are nearing mastery, so maintain your focused efforts to see your projects through to completion.

Hau’oli Aloha Po’aono

“Life is like a Rainbow”, by artist Zeenat Merchant-Syal of India

Aloha Kakahiaka e Hau’oli nani Po’aono kakou … Good morning and Happy beautiful Saturday to you all!!

There is so much going on in this world, too much negativity; too much violence and too much hatred.  Aloha Kekahi I Kekahi … Love One Another!  Don’t sweat the small kine stuff:  imua (go forward).

I struggle with this too but, I saw something again this week on social media that leaves me shaking my head.  I just wish everyone could live the Aloha way – the only way to live righteously.  How does the Aloha Way look like?  Well, you know Bruddah Iz’s famous rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow?  Just look at this image, in case you forgot while singing along with his song.  Wishing each and every one of you a very peaceful and blessed day!

Our Collective Pain is Caused by Our Collective Disconnectedness

The Mana'o Blog

TMB Johann Hari.jpg

This guy wants us all to know that addiction and freedom from it is NOT a sobriety, not even a chemical thing, but a connectivity thing.

The guy in the picture is Johann Hari.

If you click on the photo, you will be taken to his TED Talk. It is titled Everything You Think You Know About Addiction is Wrong.  And really, the only thing that I can say is that he is correct.

People do not become addicted to anything unless they do not have some sort of connection with at least ONE other human being.

Just one.

That is all that is needed to stave it off.

I know this, for sure.

It’s a brain thing, which leads to an emotional thing.

We are humans. We need to be closely connected to at least one other person, no matter who they are. As long as they are healthy…

Tarot Contemplation – Seven of Pentacles

Today, pay attention to the feedback you’re getting.  Whether it’s a work project, a new health plan, or a financial investment, look objectively at what’s working well, and what could use adjustment.  Don’t let perceived failure get you down.  Instead, learn from your errors, make the necessary changes and carry on.  This is a time of pause and adjustment.  Now is the time to stand back and evaluate whether you are on the right path.  What are your goals?  Are you still directing your action towards those goals, or have you been sidetracked?  Have you been in a similar situation before and, if so, what did you do well then?  What could you have done better?  If things are not working out the way you want them to, then now is the time to look at what you can change.  You are making progress, but some readjustment may be necessary before you can achieve mastery.

Tarot Contemplation – Wheel of Fortune

In the Big Picture scheme of things, it looks as though things are changing in a more positive direction.  This is a very spiritual and karmically oriented time.  Change is part of the cyclical nature of life … though change itself is very difficult and can almost be traumatic.  If you have been experiencing difficulties in your life recently, remember Gandolf’s maxim:  this too shall pass.  Remember that in nearly all instances, we somehow contribute to what is happening in our lives.  It’s not all blind Fate.  If you’ve been riding high and doing well, keep your perspective:  what goes up must come down because Change is inevitable.  Live in this Now, be grateful for all you have going for yourself in your life, and realize that most everything around you is out of your direct control.  Actually, you ought to be good with all of these notions and roll with the punches.  Remain positive and upbeat.  Financial pressures are easing up a bit, bringing a bit of breathing room for those of us who have been struggling with money matters lately.
