AUSTIN, Texas (October 1, 2018) — The ABC-AHP-NCNPR Botanical Adulterants Prevention Program (BAPP) has released a Laboratory Guidance Document (LGD) on tea tree oil, the essential oil obtained from tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia and M. linariifolia) leaves.

Tea tree oil is a popular ingredient known for its antimicrobial properties. Medicinally, it is widely used as a topical treatment for minor cuts and wounds, other skin problems, and as an inhalant or in chest rub formulations to help alleviate the symptoms of the common cold. In addition, it is frequently included as an ingredient in animal care, home care, personal care, and cosmetic products. The Halau propagates traditional Japanese Usui Teate Reiki in addition to American Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki knowledge and training. Most Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki schools allow Level 3 Reiki Masters to attune new students. Unlike these schools, The Halau allows only our Usui Teate Grandmasters to propagate basic Reiki technique to beginners. Grandmasters are the only instructors with enough training and knowledge to attune new students. They are trained to perform both live (in-person) as well as astral (long-distance) attunements. We do not simply gather students as income: our training is for serious Reiki inquiries only.
