Aloha Ke 'Ākua! Māhālo nūi lōa for visiting Nā Hālau ʻĀha Hūi Lanakila! We established our Sanctuary for the exploration and awakening of consciousness, the unfolding of our collective creative and healing potential and realisation of our essential Unity. Our teachings arise out of direct experience of awakened awareness and emanates the untamable fragrance of freedom whilst radically embracing the mystery and mess of human existence. Our invitation is for you to open to the fullness of life, to say YES to the totality of your experience and to meet reality with radical compassion. Our doors are an open invitation to all who seek authentic freedom and are willing to meet heart to heart in honest and open inquiry. We were taught that the goal of life is to move through life walking up the mountain of experiences with your Aloha, your Bowl of Light. Life is filled with lessons to learn and teaching moments along the way. When you become angry or jealous, you drop those stones into your bowl of light and those rocks cause leaks in your Mana-sacred power. When your bowl becomes filled with stones, you become a stone that cannot grow. No Aloha! The solution is that at any moment, you can turn your bowl upside down emptying these stones out of your bowl to naturally refill it with YOUR golden light -- your natural Aware and Awakened state of Aloha, your natural state of Divinity. This is the power of Pure Aloha: an Awakened Heart Awakens the Mind. Awakening hinges on your genuine desire for the discovery of your true nature. If it is to flower in you, you must truly want liberation from everything that is false in you, you must want to give yourself totally to the inquiry into what is true beyond all inherited concepts, ideas and beliefs. The purpose of our teachings is to ignite this wanting in you. When the flame of this desire becomes an untamable fire, it flips a switch inside of you and the direction of your destiny is irrevocably altered. It’s like turning on the light only to discover that you are this light. This in itself is extra-ordinary: even though you may have heard the words a thousand times, nothing can prepare you for the naked reality that is revealed. And yet the living experience of this revelation is very ordinary: you have simply re-discovered the innocent wholeness of your essential nature. It’s the you that never was and never will be separate from anything at all. This discovery is the end of suffering and the beginning of freedom. But awakening is just the beginning. The adventure begins, not in the rarified atmosphere of transcendence, but in the midst of the chaos of life. And living the truth of awakening has perhaps never been more of an imperative than in today’s rapidly changing world. The invitation is for you to awaken to the pristine perfection of your inner light and then to fully embody and express this light amidst the mystery and mess of human existence. Come join us!

There is a sense of staying put taking place today. It is not about not budging, even though we are into some cards which seem to want us to just that. I believe it is more about taking a conservative approach as we near the New Moon in Capricorn which is three days from now.

We have spoken of progress and recovery for many of you, and this card can definitely be an indicator of finally having a little extra funds to hold onto for a rainy day. However, it is also representative of holding on too dearly to things which may have outlived their usefulness. My feeling today, is that for the majority of you, there is this steady conservative mode which you are in, putting all of your ducks in a row, in a very methodical way, thus the conservative vibe which this card is giving off. It…

Marija Gimbutas Vindicated! w/Carol Christ & Miriam Dexter 12/27 by Karen Tate | Spirituality Podcasts

Many of us, along with Marija Gimbutas, believed her work would eventually be vindicated. We ARE the cognitive minority, waiting for the rest of the world to catch up to many ideals of the Sacred Feminine, including the work of scholar, Marija Gimbutas. Tune in tonight as I discuss this wonderful and long awaited development with elders and scholars, Carol Christ and Miriam Robbins Dexter. In the words of Carol, ‘The disdain with which the work of archaeologist Marija Gimbutas has been held in the field of classics and archaeology was shown to me when I started quietly at a cocktail party at the American School of Classical Studies in Athens that I was interested in her work. This comment, tentatively offerred, onleashed a tirade from a young female archaeologist who began shouting at me:…

It’s 1:11 in a #11 MASTER NUMBER YEAR!

1:11 Master Number Meaning and Meditation

Seeing 11:11 on clocks signs addresses and more repeatedly is a worldwide phenomenon which according to many sites on the net means its a sign to make a wish. A very nice sentiment but really not all about what the true meaning of the double Master number is.

11 is a MASTER Number. Here we are in a #11 year. To see 11:11 has only made possible since LED display digital clocks became popular in the 1980’s. We began to see time in a new and different way instead of circular, sun-wise nature-based observations. Numbers are symbols. The Kabbalah is based on numbers as vibrations called Gematria. The ancient Greek mathematicians like Pythagoras taught that numbers are the essence and source of all things.

The 11:11 phenomenon is a metaphorical digital trigger code. All doubled numbers…

Quantum Computing Enters 2018 Like It Is 1968

Today’s quantum computing landscape looks a lot like the semiconductor landscape 50 years ago.

“The silicon-based integrated circuit (IC) transistor count ballooned from ten transistors on a chip to hundreds of transistors on a chip within a few short years. After a while, there were thousands, then tens of thousands, and now we have, tens of billions.”

Pāli Word a Day for January 11, 2018  —  bhāvetabbā — should be cultivated

Kāmaṃ kāmayamānassa,
tassa ce taṃ samijjhati, addhā pītimano hoti.
Laddhā macco yadicchati.
Tassa ce — kāmayānassa, chandajātassa — jantuno
te kāmā parihāyanti,
sallaviddhova ruppati.

If one, longing for sensual pleasure,
achieves it, yes, one’s enraptured at heart.
The mortal gets what one wants.
But if for that person — longing, desiring —
the pleasures diminish,
one’s shattered, as if shot with an arrow.

I’ve been experimenting with different recipes for homemade natural body products, and I’ve concocted a body butter recipe that I’m especially proud of.  I gave away jars of it to friends and family, and within weeks, they were returning the jars and asking for more!  It smells wonderful, has a lovely whipped texture similar to whipped butter, and it works especially well on very dry or irritated skin.  Perfect for this time of year!

There are only five ingredients in this butter, all of them healing and known to be highly beneficial to the skin.  I’ve spent a lot of money buying a lot of products over the years, and I can honestly say that this is one of my favorite body lotions ever…and it contains nothing harmful or synthetic.

I made my most recent batch with my finally-ready calendula oils and I’m loving it even more!  (Read about the…

We chose to start off 2018 with our January WWW making magickal ink. Why magickal ink? Well, there are many uses for this lovely tool of communication! Among those uses might be to mark your magickal tools, to write spells and petitions, to draw sigils, and, of course, to record information in your Book of Shadows.

We were really only able to scratch the surface on this wondrous topic, and although there are many types of magickal ink, we decided to make 3 kinds in our workshop: invisible ink, lampblack ink and dragon’s blood ink.

Sometimes a witch might want to write a secret message that would remain invisible until revealed at the chosen time. Citrus juice and milk are two different common liquids that can serve in this way. We used lemon juice. With a quill pen or paint brush all we needed to do was to write our…
