We were taught that the goal of life is to move through life walking up the mountain of experiences with your Aloha, your Bowl of Light. When you become angry or jealous, you drop those stones into your bowl of light and those rocks cause leaks in your Mana-sacred power. When your bowl becomes filled with stones, you become a stone that cannot grow. No Aloha! The solution is that at any moment, you can turn your bowl upside down emptying these stones out of your bowl to naturally refill it with YOUR golden light -- your natural Aware and Awakened state of Aloha, your natural state of Divinity. This is the power of Pure Aloha: an Awakened Heart Awakens the Mind. Awakening hinges on your genuine desire for the discovery of your true nature. If it is to flower in you, you must truly want liberation from everything that is false in you, you must want to give yourself totally to the inquiry into what is true beyond all inherited concepts, ideas and beliefs. The purpose of our teachings is to ignite this wanting in you. When the flame of this desire becomes an untamable fire, it flips a switch inside of you and the direction of your destiny is irrevocably altered. It’s like turning on the light only to discover that you are this light. This in itself is extra-ordinary: even though you may have heard the words a thousand times, nothing can prepare you for the naked reality that is revealed. And yet the living experience of this revelation is very ordinary: you have simply re-discovered the innocent wholeness of your essential nature. It’s the you that never was and never will be separate from anything at all. This discovery is the end of suffering and the beginning of freedom. But awakening is just the beginning. The adventure begins, not in the rarified atmosphere of transcendence, but in the midst of the chaos of life. And living the truth of awakening has perhaps never been more of an imperative than in today’s rapidly changing world. In Yogic philosophy it is said that the only thing that is real is the eternal, absolute and infinite consciousness that is the backdrop of this whole illusion of physical life. May is the veil and illusion that we are experiencing when we are seeing and experiencing life through our five senses.
Maya is the attachment to physical life and thinking that this is the only real thing. While in yoga we say that the universe is unreal, but the consciousness is the only real aspect. This consciousness is us and we are part of this as much as we are a part of it.
When we identify ourselves with limiting beliefs and adjuncts it’s called upadhi, thinning that the physical attributes that we have are what we are. Furthermore, avidya is the ignorance that makes us forget that we are atman, consciousness/Self. The individual soul, Jiva, is the aspect that gets reborn and is limited by the uphadis.
In conclusion, the remembrance that we are more than our body, mind and physical attribute, is when we start understanding that this veil is not real. We do not become one with the changes and shifts of the world and the mind, we do not identify with worldly events and we start devoting our path to sadhana, spiritual practice, to remind ourselves of our own eternity.

The use of intuition and creative imagination has been an essential part of the work of great scientists and artists. How were great composers, scientists, and thinkers able to “sense” higher realities, translate them, and then step them down into concrete thoughts, music, words, or mathematical formulae? Does the universe or planet sound our own notes, or do we?

These reflections will take us to the core of the matter: What is meant by “The Harmony of the Spheres,” which famed occultist H.P. Blavatsky claimed not to be a mere philosophical fancy, but a reality?

Eduardo Javier Gramaglia holds a degree in classical philology from National University. He gives seminars, workshops, and lectures on a wide range of Theosophical subjects. His main area of research is the late Hellenistic tradition, particularly its hermetic texts on mystery traditions and astrology. He published Hermetic Astrology in 2006, the first book in Spanish on the ancient astrological traditions. He has taken part in international conventions, given seminars, and published two English translations of Ancient Greek astrological manuals. Eduardo teaches Ancient Religion and Myth, as well as Sanskrit language and literature at National University. He is also the principal pianist and harpsichordist of the Municipal Chamber Orchestra in Cordoba, Argentina and teaches musical analysis and the history of music.

If you’ve read CPM’s recent posts on The People Feeding Project, you know that we move a lot of food around weekly, shuffling ingredients from here to there and cooking things to hand out to the city’s hungry.  A lot of food gets handed out. But the truth of the matter is that what we cook id free or mostly free.  And we aren’t the only ones shuffling around ingredients either. This recipe features bread, which we are gifted weekly via our friend Liz from her friend Camilla, who retrieves day old bread from bakeries in Napa, which then arrive to Food Is Free Solano.  Day old bread is PERFECT for bread pudding.  Also, the eggs come from our egg supplier (on their way to expiration but still fine) and the sugar, coconut, toasted pecans and cinnamon was a gift from our friend Alexis, who recently…

Sun has left earthy Virgo and moved into airy Libra, the sign of peace, harmony and equality. It is highly relationship oriented and Libras usually compromise themselves to please others.
Sun is the Self. Venus, the ruler of Libra (and Taurus) is about what we value and the pleasures of the physical existence. When we have reached the 7th house in the zodiac which Libra and Venus rules, we come to a point where it is not all about the Self, it is about the union and the duality. Me in relation with you. Twoness and relationships, both personal, romantic and business.
During the Libra season we want to make sure that others are doing well and we do not like any type of drama. We want harmony and balance around us and we are getting used to the shifting of the seasons. We are more diplomatic and careful of speaking our truths if it could hurt someone else. We need to be careful to not get passive aggressiv though and we need to balance being by ourselves with being with others.
