Entheogens | Amazonian psychedelic may ease severe depression, new study shows
The medicinal properties of ayahuasca come from two plants: Banisteriopsis caapi, a psychedelic brew that Amazonian indigenous populations have long used for spiritual purposes, and Psychotria viridis. The first randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial of the beverage show that it can ease severe depression.

Card of the Day – King of Cups – Wednesday, July 18, 2018

Here we go again! This week holds some crazy energy and I am uncertain as to whether everyone is able to keep their cool. This guy is the King of Cool; he is the one who can help you ace that job interview, and have you looking cool-as-a-cucumber. His generosity is well known, and he is a compassionate and intuitive soul. The King of Cups is pretty much my favorite guy, but on a day like today, even he, or you, may not be able to keep emotions in check. I will reiterate some of what I said yesterday.
We are in the space between eclipses, actually between the first and second, and there will be a third. So, the current vibe is already more intense than usual. As any heavenly body travels through a sign, when it approaches the final degrees, as we are now doing with the Sun…

Card of the Day – The Sun – Tuesday, July 17, 2018

Normally, when we see the Sun card, life is all sunshine and lollipops. Today, however, I must say, this can go either way. Words such as fun, warmth, vitality, and anything else which denotes a positive exuberance and favor from the Universe can be used to describe this card. On the heels of a positive Solar Eclipse in Cancer, which has been working to bring you great things, this card is aptly placed. Let us not forget that in the Northern Hemisphere, Mother Nature may be blazing and the Sun itself may be a scorcher.
On the flip side, we have things such as depression and feeling anything but warm and fuzzy. I tend to discuss these things when there are so many retrogrades, and Mercury is currently in shadow, preparing to retrograde in nine days. More importantly, the Sun itself is approaching the very tail-end of Cancer, an extremely…

hi I’m back from doing an incredibly busy uplifting weekend at the Women’s conference and Festival at the beautiful Grail Springs Wellness Retreat there was limited wifi access and the cottage we stayed at had absolutely no wifi at all.
It was a total blessing and I had the best two nights sleeps I’ve had in years. I’ve been saying for years that the wifi is driving me crazy and I can see that it is. I worked very hard Thursday night at a very demanding super busy night dispensing lipstick blotter readings for a Revlon pop-up event for 3 hours. Then got up very early to drive to Bancroft and I was very bust reading all weekend. But my energy is totally up and I look 10 years younger. So beware in Toronto and other major cities 5G is going to come in to fry your brain completely.

Blood moon: What is it, and why is it called that?
As we’ve come to expect, conspiracy theorists and fringe Christian evangelicals are heralding the July 27 blood moon as a sign of the imminent apocalypse. But what is the blood moon prophecy, and why does it appeal to a certain type of believer? […]

Card of the Day – 7 of Cups – Sunday, July 15, 2018

Choices and the task of figuring things out is not always an easy thing. The 7 of Cups asks us to look at things realistically, but truth be told, things may not feel 100% clear at this time. This is an emotional week for many, still riding the wave of Eclipse season, and, as we near the end of the Sun in Cancer, one should expect emotions to surge even more. I mention this because the Suit of Cups itself is representative of emotion, and this feels like a very prominent theme at the moment.
With the 7 of Cups being about things such as wishful thinking, choices, disillusionment and our hopes and dreams, you may still be feeling as though you do not know what to choose. It will happen and you will figure out what it is that you need to know.

Paradigm Shift | The Cosmic Rays (Cosmic Intelligence) Arrived on Earth! YAY!, with Doreen Dotan
From Doreen:
“They’re here!
Meant to say Cosmic Rays at the beginning of the video.
There are some videos discussing the presence of extremely high levels of “Cosmic Rays”. These are scientific, not Wisdom-based, interpretations of what’s happening. Listen, but don’t get scared and hear the deeper meanings of what’s being said. These are examples of how *not* to take the events correctly. This isn’t bad or dangerous. It’s GREAT.
My Husband kindly corrected something I said in the video. The Netz is when the sun is first seen. The very first light of the day is called Amood HaSachar.”

Card of the Day – 2 of Swords – Saturday, July 14, 2018

What lies ahead? Between all of the retrorades, there are currently five, and an Eclipse season with three eclipses rather than two, who could possibly know what twists and turns there will be. There are several more weeks of this to navigate, so be patient with yourself, especially should you feel unable to make a decision. You are not stuck, even if you feel your inability to see what is going on is preventing you from moving forward right now.
Give this feeling a couple of days, perhaps until Monday, or Tuesday, for you still have some sorting out left to do. In the long run, it is all for the better, so, for today, use the tranquility represented in this card to maintain peace in your corner of the world.
See you here tomorrow!

Card of the Day – The Tower – Friday, July 13, 2018

Well, here it is! The cards have been pushing you to break out and break free, and for there to be some form of release. The Tower pretty much lets everything loose at once, so to speak. I have been saying massive change is on the horizon; it has arrived with yesterday’s New Moon Supermoon Partial Solar Eclipse at 20° Cancer. This Eclipse was in direct opposition to Pluto, signaling the time has come for transformation to the extreme. There was also a trine with Saturn and Uranus, creating a very harmonious vibe for you, leaving you with no choice but to break out and set yourself free.
When the Tower appears, it can bring about the complete abolition of a way of life, but, in this particular case, I feel that most are only seeing the greatest changes with regards to the areas which have needed them the most…

Pantry Profile: Basil {Ocimum basilicum}
Crooked Bear Creek Organic Herbs
Bright green, tall, and aromatic, basil is a beauty. An ancient plant with a long history and strange folklore, its sweet, peppery flavor has been used for centuries in cuisine and medicine.
Basil is native to Africa and Southeast Asia and was eventually cultivated in the Middle East and the Mediterranean. Roman scholar Pliny the Elder described basil’s {now well-known} benefits as a carminative and digestive, explaining its effectiveness in relieving flatulence, colic, and nausea. It also has a long history of use for coughs associated with colds, and the leaves were routinely used topically as an insect repellent and poultice to relieve bug bites and stings.
Much myth and legend surrounded this plant we now consider a simple culinary herb. The ancient Egyptians believed basil would entice the god Osiris to open the gates of the afterlife. In his book the English Physician Enlarged, 17th-century botanist Nicholas Culpeper…
