Every year, about 37 million people in the U.S. suffer from sinusitis, which is an infection of the sinuses. It is caused by inflammation and swelling of the sinus tissue, due to the accumulation of fluid in the sinuses, that promotes the growth of germs like bacteria, viruses or fungi. The infection eventually blocks the […]

It’s often challenging finding ways to honor tradition while also keeping up with the demands of modern life, but our Bulgarian farm partners have managed a beautiful balance. Hear how the agriculturists of this region pair the best of their old-world knowledge with new age technology to promote a sustainable future for their livelihoods. […]
I do not think today’s card could be more perfect, at least for me. Many of you have commented and messaged over these last couple of days to check on me. I have been doing this four years this June, and there has always been a Card of the Day. We missed the 7 of Swords and the 4 of Pentacles, but today I am back with this beautiful 9 of Wands. I daresay, I will not be cueing ‘Eye of the Tiger’ and attempting to ascend the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum, but I am back, and as my other favorite 9 of Wands music would say ‘I’m Still Standing’, or in my case, I managed to get back up again.
And that really truly is the message embodied in the 9 of Wands…that persistence and determination to rise up once again, after being knocked down, sometimes weary…

Before the discovery of penicillin, no effective treatment was available for infections such as pneumonia. It wasn’t until 1928, when Alexander Fleming noticed that the “mold” growing in his petri dish was killing the Staphylococcus bacteria, that penicillin came to be. However, the excessive use of antibiotics in humans and farm animals can drive drug-resistant bacteria to thrive. It has been studied that bacteria have, now, been growing resistant to antibiotics that have been used time and time again. Not only that, many antibiotics are shown to have severe adverse effects, and have even led to death.

February 19 2019 is a full Moon in Virgo. Earth sign Virgo brings analytical discernment to make detailed plans, yet see the big picture. Fortunately, the Virgo full Moon trines both Mars and Uranus to assert yourself, and get things done. Follow up with contacts, and complete what you can, before Mercury retrograde begins on March 5 until March 28.
This full Moon marks the peak of the Fire Tiger month. Dynamic Tiger energy is very helpful, bringing courage to take action for advancement. In this Fire tiger month, instincts are sharpened and people can be more perceptive. You can get right to the point because Tiger is too impatient for long explanations.
The Sun, Mercury, and Neptune are all in Water sign Pisces for heightened sensitivity. This is the kind of astrology transit when you think of someone, then run into them! And it’s an excellent transit to develop…

The idea of “food as medicine” may be a bit hard to swallow, especially if you have a gourmand’s palate. What if you could fight a host of diseases and even increase your longevity, just by adding a few delicious servings of fungus to your diet every day? Not to worry – these fungi are what French chefs dream of! […]
Just being alive is enough.

Chiron enters ARIES @ 1:07am PST/4:07 am EST/ 9:07 am GMT for the first time since January 1969. A new era dawns. Chiron in Aries is the healing of the wounded toxic macho Patriarchal PTSD Man. The Ram is the symbol of the Jewish people who started monotheism when the Age of Aries began, some 4,320 years ago. Chiron takes 4 + years to travel through each sign. Let the healing begin.
VENUS and SATURN have a very serious karmic meeting @ 16+ Capricorn

With all the recent 29° activity in the Universe, it is highly probable that life has felt a bit off-kilter as of late. Mars is now at the beginning of Taurus, and today, Chiron, the wounded healer, moves into Aries until 2027. The only real extreme left to deal with is Uranus st 29°, which will enter Taurus on March 6. Today’s Temperance card has more of a leveling-off vibe today. It is time to restore some balance to your world.
Temperance is all about your focus, through patience, balance, and moderation. Having your focus distracted the last couple of weeks has certainly put life out of balance in an area or two. Today it begins to settle for a bit, but do not become too comfortable, as there is still Uranus with which to contend.
See you here tomorrow!

The King of Cups is my absolute favorite. He is a kind and gentle soul, generous and compassionate toward all living beings. It is possible he could cross your path today, or that this is even you, whether you are male or female. This Cool-as-a-Cucumber guy never sweats it; he keeps his emotions checked and is the one running toward harms way in times of crisis.
I do feel the need to mention that we are so close to the Full Moon at 0° Virgo, that this could bring up the exact opposite effect with some people. It is entirely possible to encounter someone who can not contain their emotions as this Full Moon approaches. Remember it is only a passing phase, so do not allow things to get out of hand.
See you here tomorrow!
