Daily Words of the Buddha for November 30, 2018

Pāli Word a Day for November 30, 2018 — ajjavatā — straight forwardness, integrity, honesty

Taṃ nadīhi vijānātha:
sobbhesu padaresu ca,
saṇantā yanti kusobbhā,
tuṇhīyanti mahodadhī.

Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.

Sutta Nipāta 3.725
Gemstones of the Good Dhamma, compiled and translated by Ven. S. Dhammika
