Welina mai e nā hoa ē a hau’ōli alōha Pō’ahu! Ō kā maluhia no me oe.
Warmest greetings to you, Friends, and a happy aloha Thursday! Peace be with you.

Meet the best Dad any daughter could hope to be blessed with in this lifetime … Pedro Adan Generao (Jan. 26, 1935 – June 2, 2015). My best friend who always had my back.
I’ll be offline for a bit, and will try to keep up on some postings, but I’m going home to California to take care of Mom. I recorded this little piece as the beginning of my eulogy for Dad, who suffered a massive heart attack and crossed over at 12:25 am of June 2, 2015. It sounds just like the way he’d like to be remembered.

We present the chart for the Quintile Kite of May 27, 2015:
This Quintile Kite occurs during Virgo Moon v/c (void of course) along with a preceding Mercury/Mars conjunction (with Mercury Retrograde for overdue projects and issues) and Venus Trine Chiron perfecting later. Mercury conjunct Mars often leads some people to say and do things they regret later. But Mercury retrograde addresses overdue issues (“coming to a a head”) and Venus (in Cancer, home and family) trines Chiron (the Wounded Healer).
If you are up to doing it, today might be the day to “lance the boil” and clear the air of something no one wants to discuss. Be prepared for anger and tears and sorrow, and avoid physical violence (of course!). Do it as early in the day as possible, clear the air, and find time for the creative solutions (Quintile Kite) that can emerge…

Crazy good idea!
Okay, don’t lynch me yet! I know it sounds really, really, really wrong but it’s oh, oh so good. This is the brain child of a late night, snack night dinner coupled with a lot of leftovers from the prior night’s “pizza night” dinner. Here at CPM, we call it fusion. I’m pretty sure our mom called it “clean out the fridge night”. And, even though this “fusion” goodie sounds odd, you will be chuffing these babies down before the next batch is off the pan. I even had to share the genius with our neighbors, the MacLeods, who came bearing a drink called Dark and Stormy in exchange for these pizza rip-offs. I don’t know what was in the Dark and Stormy but it was super yummy too! Thanks much!

Alōha āwakea e nā hoa ē a hau’ōli alōha Pō’akolu. He ʻohu ke aloha; ʻaʻohe kuahiwi kau ʻole. Ō kā maluhia no me oe.
Good day, Friends, and Happy Aloha Wednesday. Love is like the mist; there is no mountaintop that it does not settle upon. [Love comes to all.] Peace be with you.

This commonly seen fish prefers calm waters and lives in shallow areas and sandy spots. It is sometimes called a Picasso Triggerfish because of the yellow line that extends from it’s mouth giving it the look of an abstract piece of artwork. Perhaps more abstract to most and more challenging to spell than Mississippi is the Hawaiian name for this fish: humuhumunukunukuāpua`a
Learning to spell the name of this fish will certainly win the hearts of islanders and before you get any bright ideas it is too many letters for Scrabble.
May 17, 2015 at 9:13 pm is a new Moon in Taurus. The new Moon and Sun are both in Taurus, a sensual Earth sign ruled by Venus, planet of love, art, and beauty. Taurean Moon and Sun are conjunct Mercury and Mars in early degrees of Gemini. This brings intellectual stimulation, new ideas, inspired creativity, and interesting conversations. But Sun, Moon, and Mars are opposite Saturn to pace yourself and be thorough. Plus Mercury and Mars square Neptune to think before acting on emotions.
MERCURY RETROGRADE
The ability for introspective thought and wise decision making is helped by Mercury retrograde from May 18 until June 11. Mercury is comfortable in rulership sign Gemini so you can cover much ground. Use these three weeks to get organized in preparation for the next new Moon on June 16 that begins Horse month, a time for action. Call…

I didn’t initially mean to make biscuits this small, I just happened to grab the wrong sized ring and decided to go with it. But now I absolutely love these tiny little biscuits! They are perfect to serve with butter and fresh jam at breakfast or as the perfect soup topping. Or, if you are looking for the mini version of some of your favorite dishes, how about mini breakfast slider sandwiches or mini biscuits and gravy. I even joked to Amelia that this would be the next supermodel fad – 100 calorie mini sandwiches.
Trish’s Mini Biscuits
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking powder
10 tablespoons cold butter, cut into pieces
1 cup whole milk
1 beaten egg (for brushing on biscuit tops before baking)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
