Pohaku La’au ~ Healing Crystals – Crystals for Adaptation
The Constant in Life
If there is one constant thing in life, it is change. Sometimes we cause the change such as buying a new house or having a baby. Other times, the change sneaks up on us when we least expect it. We may lose our job or our relationship may suddenly come to an end. Surprisingly, whether you chose to experience the changing environment or not, change can be difficult. Most people think that if you are choosing to move, you are ready for that change, but such is not always the case. When change comes we just be ready to adapt. If you have problems adapting to new situations or environments, we believe crystals can help you. They can make the process much easier, whether you asked for it or not. We suggest always have one of the following discussed crystals around in case an unexpected change comes into your life.
Turquoise is a blending of the cold winter blue ray of Trust with the approaching warm green ray of Growth. It is the color of the earth as the new growth and life emerges at the first hints of spring. It is a fresh color, a welcome color, and a color that moves us to serenity knowing that the cycle of life is progressing rapidly. Turquoise is the Color Ray of Discovery and the Color Ray of Balance. Its vibrations help you find yourself and return to equilibrium in your life and feelings. When your life is out of balance, whether from too much passion or not enough, or too much activity or not enough, or whatever the imbalance, turquoise rays can get you back to center again.

Turquoise Crystals
Crystals with the beautiful Turquoise Ray are Centering and Balance Crystals
When attempting to adapt to new situations, we suggest using crystals in a darker turquoise color ray. Dark Turquoise crystals bring you adaptation, flexibility, openness, new perspective, and inner strength. All of these attributes are core to learning to adapt to new circumstances. In darker, richer tones, turquoise brings us a ray of considerable power. It is the color of flexibility. Many of our shortcomings are based on intolerance. We get used to the way we think people should behave; the way the world should work. We grow more intolerant of new things as we age. Dark Turquoise rays are potent anti-intolerance rays that will give you the adaptability in your outlook to learn, enjoy, and participate in the newness that is constantly being brought to life.

Amazonite is a stone of tranquility, peace, and protection from the undesirable elements of life. It will keep negative energy away from you, making it one of the most protective stones you can own. Called the Stone of Courage and the Stone of Truth, Amazonite empowers one to search the self and discover one’s own truths and integrity, and to move beyond fear of judgment or confrontation with others to live in alignment with those beliefs and values. It is also a wonderful healer for the emotional body. It soothes trauma and calms the mind, alleviates worry and fear, and directs anger and irritability into a more positive action. These are very important qualities when attempting to adapt to new situations. We need a calm mind that is free of anxiety and takes any negative feelings we feel from the change and help turn them into positive ones. Amazonite is deeply stimulating to both the Heart and Throat Chakras. The Heart Chakra, located near the center of the breastbone, regulates our interaction with the external world and controls what we embrace and what we resist.
Amazonite carries a spiritual energy of personal truth. It enkindles a harmonious interaction between the intellect and intuition, allowing one to find what it right and true within oneself and to lovingly communicate those values and beliefs to others.

Chrysocolla is a strong dispeller of negative energy that brings a calming energy primarily to the heart. It is the stone of forgiveness, peace, and the strengthening of emotional bonds. It encourages compassion, and helps us recover our natural spontaneity. This stone’s calming effect helps with nervous disorders, such as anxiety and depression, and feelings of guilt. This is essential as fear of change is often brought about by anxiety. Both anxiety and depression can make adaptation near impossible. Chrysocolla helps align the Heart Chakra, often easing emotional heartache and aiding you to find strength and balance. When the heart chakra is out of balance we may feel either controlling or controlled in a relationship, and become critical of the little foibles of others. We may find ourselves having inappropriately strong emotional responses to everyday external stimuli. Chrysocolla can ease that stress and emotional response and make it easier for us to deal with change and learn to adapt to an ever moving life.
Chrysocolla stimulates the initiative qualities of one’s character to release the distress of negative emotions and further the understanding of others. By accepting the perfection of the universe, it provides insights necessary to help re-align the physical body, intellect and emotions.
What Other Authors Say
Bloodstone — Judy Hall suggests Bloodstone which is a well-known talisman and meditation crystal.
Mentally, Bloodstone calms the mind, dispels confusion, and enhances the decision-making process. It can revitalize the mind if you are mentally exhausted. This stone assists in adjusting to unaccustomed circumstances.
Biotite lenses — Michael Gienger recommends Biotite lenses which is a stone that helps us seek balance and flexibility. Biotite lenses stimulate individual self-fulfillment. They allow flexibility and adaptation as long as the wearer does not become untrue to him/herself.
Cinnabar Quartz — Robert Simmons advocates Cinnabar Quartz which brings growth and development.
Because of is facilitation of rapid change and growth, Cinnabar Quartz is a stone of so called invisibility. This means that it enhances one’s capacity for rapid adaptation to changing circumstances, whether inner or outer.
In Summary
Life can move quickly and change as regularly as the tide. We cannot always prepare for these changes such as a change in job, a move to a new home, or an end of a relationship. Sometimes when we have prepared, we are still not ready for them. What we need to learn is adaptation or how to become adjusted to new conditions. When confronting change in your life or if you would like to prepare for unexpected ones in the future, we suggest using dark turquoise colored crystals. These crystals color rays bring you adaptation, flexibility, openness, new perspective, and inner strength. Which are all essential in adapting to new circumstances in life. We suggest using dark turquoise crystals such as Amazonite and Chrysocolla. You can also try crystals other authors have suggested such as Bloodstone, Biotite lenses, and Cinnabar Quartz.

2015-12-02 Moon Square Saturn T-Squares (mutable and others)
2015-12-02 Moon Square Saturn T-Squares (mutable and others)
Moon Square Saturn happens about once a month and, although it tends to be an unpleasant aspect, it is a fairly ordinary (very nearly boring) aspect. This month, however, the Moon interacts with Saturn square Neptune (still in full force since the first perfection on November 26th), and a T-Square forms. Other T-Squares are active (including Mars / Pluto / Uranus), and, so, this time the aspect is quite a bit more unpleasant than usual. As is always true, the potential to harness this unpleasant energy to “get something done” exists if you are elevated enough / smart enough to use it that way. Here is the chart, filtered for T-Squares:

La’au Lapa’au ~ Herbalogy ~ Using Agua Sacral vs. Florida Water
Agua Sacral is a Lemurian Formula containing Palo Santos and used to integrate lost parts of the personality – not soul fragments, but has more of an integrative nature. Although Palo Santos has a very strong clearing property both personal and environmental, the use of Agua Sacral has an integrative property for the retrieval of personality fragments.
Florida Water has been preserved in Santeria which can be traced back to Yoruban traditions to the Egyptian Mystery Schools, which go back to Atlantis. Florida Water is used to clear astral entities before attachment, negative thought forms and unwanted energy. Florida is also used for other ritual purposes, including fire magic.
WHAT IS A MYSTIC?

A mystic is not a magician or a crystal-ball-gazer. A mystic is rather a person who has had an experience of God’s love so unmistakable that it changes him or her forever, imparting a confidence that cannot be shaken, a humility that cannot be doubted, a freedom that exudes love and gentleness and authenticity. A mystic knows from experience, not books, that we are each beautiful beyond our understanding, loved beyond our capacity to love, united beyond our perceptions of difference and division.

Turkey And Mashed Potato Ravioli With Creamy Mushroom Sauce
This recipe is a great way to repurpose your Thanksgiving leftovers into something new and delicious that will have your family wishing for more turkey well into the new year. These raviolis are warm, satisfying and comforting all at the same time. I use fresh pasta for my ravioli but feel free to use wonton wrappers if you don’t feel up to the fresh pasta task.
Last week, I had a “pre-Thanksgiving” turkey. The turkey was great but what do you do with the rest of the 10 pounds of poultry? I love turkey pot pie (stay tuned for that recipe in the near future) and turkey stew but I was searching for something a little different.

Thanksgiving Leftover Pot Pie

If you’re making this, I won’t apologize for the heartburn you’re about to receive. It will be similar to the heartburn you had on thanksgiving. This year, I only had small amounts of each item leftover (except for dessert, of course). I was talking to my sister and she said that she was making turkey pot pie for dinner. She inquired as to what we were having to which I replied, “I dunno, leftover surprise.” This is a common response at my house. My daughter sees me take out chicken for dinner and asks what I’m making. “I dunno, chicken surprise.” It means that you get chicken and whatever else I fish out of the cabinets and fridge.
This is another easy and tasty thanksgiving leftover dish.
The Leftover List (the leftover measurements don’t have to be exact):
2 pre-made pie crusts
2/3 to 1 cup leftover mashed potatoes

10 Rare But Useful Words Everyone Should Know
Is there a word for that? Here are ten of the best useful rare words in the English language
Ever caught yourself thinking, ‘There should be a word for that. Is there a word for that?’ We’re here to help. In this new post, we’ve gathered up ten useful words which should be better known, but aren’t. Many of them, of course, have literary origins or histories, which we’ll mention and discuss as we go.
UHTCEARE: This highly useful word means ‘lying awake before dawn worrying’. It appears in the Anglo-Saxon poem ‘The Wife’s Lament’, and has recently become more widely known thanks to Mark Forsyth, who includes it in his book The Horologicon.
QUAKE-BUTTOCK: This is another term for a coward, and appears in the plays of seventeenth-century playwrights Beaumont and Fletcher. We reckon it should be revived.

On the 18th, Pisces people possibly feel stagnant
Reflection for November 18, 2015: pure Beatitude.
The reason why peace of soul is the “most elementary trace”of this holy slumber, induced by prayer, is that “prayer places us in the presence of God, Who is pure Beatitude.” To pray is to give oneself to God; and since God is pure Beatitude, prayer itself is already something of this Beatitude, whether the person praying is conscious of it or not. The awareness of what prayer is, and of what God is, imparts to the very act of prayer the capacity to bestow peace on the soul. Once this peace is “tasted,”and the sense of the sacred is awoken, with the heart rendered receptive to the presence of God—then does metaphysical doctrine begin to take root in our being, conviction deepens into certitude, the “obscure merit of faith” begins to give way to the ineffable verities of gnosis.

Just For Today

When choosing a doctor, be sure to find one that not only listens to your concerns, but also seems to genuinely cares about your welfare.

The term ‘bedside manner’ has long been used to describe a doctor’s ability to connect and empathize with a patient. According to recent studies, the importance of good bedside manners is becoming more and more critical, as patients whose doctors listen and demonstrate an understanding of their concerns not only are more satisfied with their treatment, but also enjoy better health.
Empathy is seeing with the eyes of another, listening with the ears of another and feeling with the heart of another.

Lakota Prayer

Great Mystery,
teach me how to trust
my heart,
my mind,
my intuition,
my inner knowing,
the senses of my body,
the blessings of my spirit.
Teach me to trust these things
so that I may enter my Sacred Space
and love beyond my fear,
and thus Walk in Balance
with the passing of each glorious Sun.
At the core of this timeless wisdom is the word “trust”. When did we stop trusting ourselves? When did we start giving that trust, that power, away?
In many ways the spirit path is a process of reestablishing that trust with the infinite that resides within us, just waiting to be activated.

You probably feel it deeply, and have been exposed to the Medicine that the SCO New Moon, in resonant connection (Water trine) with CHIRON retro in PI facilitates:
This is the time to dive deeper into the undercurrents of ‘what bothers us’, and lies like underwater dragons in our subconscious – often buried, suppressed material that we wouldn’t approach voluntarily (it’s usually our ego that is scared as hell).
What do we meet when we go into this ‘sticky underworld’? (Often old) feelings that hold us hostage and ‘in the dark’: jealousy, resentment, vengefulness – those feelings that turn against us and keep us separate, turn into shame and blame, and that we only covertly show to the world, while they fester and suck our energy. We beat ourselves up and go into self-sabotage.
You get the idea – we…

New Moon in Scorpio….. Diwali Festival of Lights
Wednesday 11 November marks the annual New Moon festival of Diwali, where Hindus around the world light lamps to show the way home for the returning King Rama and his entourage of Lady Sita, Prince Lakshmana and head of the troops Lieutenant Hanuman. With the dark moon night leaving the moon conspicuous by its absence, the lamps brightly allow us to invoke the light by dispelling the darkness in our lives.
Rama is of course our own Vishnu avatara, alternative incarnation of Krishna, appearing millions of years ago with a green comlexion and becoming known as the ieal king, ruler or leader or his people. From this dynasty we get the term “Rama Rajaya” – a time of perfected rulership and idyllic utopian society. We all pray that India’s BJP, Congress Party and others will introduce such an administarative rule once again, under Prime Minister Modi. More than that we…

ELEVEN ELEVEN
CREATIVE NUMEROLOGY ARCHIVE by Christine DeLorey
11:11 has been constantly ‘appearing’ to people, all over the world, since the 1990s and the onset of the new millennium – and there is great meaning to this symbol. Our senses are opening to the central role that numbers play in our lives, and the further we move into the 2000s, the more our attention is drawn to the power of numeric energy. This, after all, is the ‘digital age’. And yet, despite all our number-based technology, we are only just beginning to understand the deeper meaning of “1 plus 1 equals 2”.
The 11th month of the year always increases our potential for personal and collective growth. 11 not only helps us to evolve, but actually symbolizes the step-by-step nature of evolution. (1+1=2 = moving forward).
11 occurs everywhere, all the time, but it is in the 11th month of any year that it becomes…

The Clothes of the Spiritual Ego
The spiritual Ego is unable to imagine the existence of a wisdom that is not manifested in thoughts, accumulated knowledge and experience. The spiritual Ego attempts to make an image of reality from the accumulated spiritual knowledge and experience, trying to create the mosaic image of Truth. The spiritual Ego, however, always picks the stones for the mosaic from external sources.
That is how the spiritual Ego puts one piece of the mosaic next to the other until it believes that the image is complete, and the spiritual Ego is familiar with the whole Truth. That moment, though, will never come, because the image created from the bits and pieces borrowed from others is not the real “truth;” it is only the truth as the spiritual Ego imagines it to be. As it is not possible to express the Truth with concepts, the image is false right from the beginning…
