GENERAL PLANETARY INFLUENCES

I really enjoyed my holiday, a lovely break for me, but now back to normal with the Weekly Horoscopes. Overall, there is some positive movement planetary wise, but also a need to find ways of dealing appropriately with stress, and energy levels.

The Sun has now moved into charismatic, diplomatic, harmonious Libra on Monday, it can give us more of a balance, but also make us procrastinate at times.

The Moon starts the week in broadminded, humorous, optimistic Sagittarius, with a First Quarter Moon on Wednesday, helping us ascertain new goals. The Moon moves into aloof, pessimistic, responsible Capricorn. On Saturday it moves into impulsive, magnetic, imperative Aquarius, finishing the week there.

Mercury is now in fateful, instinctive, at times obsessive & introspective Scorpio, for just a couple of weeks, with a need for deeper understanding of people and situations. It starts traveling Retrograde from Sunday, causing possible confusion.

Venus remains in idealistic, reticent, curious Virgo, just until Tuesday when it moves into diplomatic, persuasive, plausible, sensual Libra, enabling us to charm people at times. The readings for signs below shows it’s personal influence from Tuesday.

Mars is now in determined, enthusiastic, versatile, but at times defensive Sagittarius, with a need to find ways to appropriately use our energy.

Uranus remains in assertive, blunt, energetic, self-willed Aries, for several years, and can make us individualistic and rebellious, unexpected events or disruptive emotional matters, may distract us, or help us see things differently. Uranus is currently travelling Retrograde until shortly before Christmas, helping us come up with ingenious ideas, with a need to use them creatively.

The Autumnal Equinox

This is a magical time of year! On Tuesday, September 23, we will experience a time when the days and nights are of equal length, otherwise known as the Equinox. Since this day is all about BALANCE it’s miraculous that this experience occurs in both the northern and southern hemispheres. Everyone in the world can celebrate together!

In the northern hemisphere, the nights are growing longer. When this occurs, your energy gets drawn inward so you can find the light within. In the southern hemisphere, the sunny days are more plentiful and you can enjoy the light of the world as you bask in nature. Either way, this is a celebration of light! Nature always reminds us that whenever there is darkness, light will soon follow.

Welcome Libra

The Equinox also marks the beginning of the sign Libra. In astrology, Libra is the first of what’s known as the relationship signs, and teaches you how to find balance within, no matter what is happening around you or what other people are doing.

The Libra loves to be in partnership – whether it’s romantic, friendship or otherwise, so the tendency is to want to please other people, often at the expense of your own needs. Whenever you do this, this can throw you OFF BALANCE. Have you ever had that experience where you want something and you don’t want to cause conflict so you keep it to yourself? Not a great deal of planetary movement this week, although on Sunday Mars does move into enthusiastic, positive Sagittarius.

The Sun is now halfway through methodical, meticulous, fussy, scrupulous Virgo, with a very detailed and perfectionist outlook.

The Moon starts the week in emotional, responsive, sensitive Pisces, with a Full Moon Tuesday, making us prone to possible over-reactions. On Wednesday it moves into active, excitable, impulsive Aries. On Saturday it moves into defensive, possessive, security conscious Taurus, finishing the week there.

Mercury is now settled in diplomatic, peace-loving, harmonious Libra, causing some indecision at times.

As much as possible, I try to stick to the technical aspects of astrology on this blog. That means I avoid editorials. But, tonight, I am compelled to write an editorial.

I believe that we (collectively and individually) stand at a critically important fork in the road. It began in August and will continue at least through the end of September.  (Actually, it is a much larger period.)  I call this period the “Grand Yod of 2014.”  What makes it “grand” is the involvement of outer planets, namely Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto.  For some, the Full Moon of Monday September the 8th will be a particularly intense point.

Important to note is the fact that many of us often face turning points in our lives. But this one will be more noteworthy than most. The outcome is difficult to see. I can only tell you that…

GENERAL PLANETARY INFLUENCES

A little more planetary movement this week, as the Sun moved into Virgo on Sunday, but apart from the Moon’s natural progress, the rest of the planets stay where they are at present, just moving by a few degrees. Next week, both Mercury and Venus move signs, but this week is fairly ‘quiet’ astrologically. As I mentioned, the Sun is now in modest, organized, modest, particular Virgo, this can make us a bit finicky at times, as we naturally want everything to be just right.

The Moon starts the week in domineering, exuberant, melodramatic Leo, with a Full Moon on Monday, making us more over-the-top in certain situations. On Tuesday it moves into responsive, inquisitive, logical Virgo. On Thursday the Moon moves into charming, harmonious, peaceful Libra. On Sunday it moves into determined, jealous, strong-willed, Scorpio, finishing the week there.

Mercury remains in balanced, decisive, fussy Virgo, this week, with a methodical, structured and detailed approach.

Venus remains in loving, expressive & excessive Leo, for this week, with possible overly dramatic reactions.

Mars remains in compulsive, envious, responsive, resourceful Scorpio, until the middle of next month, with a need for personal control over people and situations. Jupiter is now approximately one third of the way through benevolent, extrovert, positive, expansive Leo, making us kind-hearted.

Saturn remains in responsible, shrewd, strong-willed Scorpio, until the end of 2014. It is now traveling Direct, enabling self expansion in some respects. Uranus remains in assertive, blunt, energetic, self-willed Aries, for several years, and can make us individualistic and rebellious, unexpected events or disruptive emotional matters, may distract us, or help us see things differently.

Uranus is currently travelling Retrograde until shortly before Christmas, helping us come up with ingenious ideas, with a need to use them creatively. Neptune remains in sensitive, intuitive Pisces for the foreseeable future, and helps us gradually develop more empathy, compassion, and build understanding, in a wide variety of ways, but also indicates a need to remain realistic.

Neptune is now traveling Retrograde until Mid December, indicating boundaries between reality and illusion may blur at times, causing possible confusion, with a need to look at people and situations realistically.

Pluto remains in Capricorn for quite a few years, so is a very long term influence, showing knowledge gradually acquired on deeper levels, with balance, & realistic ways of recycling & developing our intuitive knowledge further, to use practically. Pluto travels Retrograde until late September, with a relentless search for inner truth, furthering our self knowledge approached the right way.

The new moon in Virgo takes place in the morning (US) on August 25th.  She opposes Neptune, but what interests me more is the tight conjunction of Mars and Saturn that takes place, simultaneously.

Virgo’s ruler, Mercury is looking good in his home sign.  When I pull this all together, this will be a great time to actually get something (major) done.

We are all part of the sacred path and sacred days. As of late two powerful energies have made themselves known many many times a day. White buffalo calf woman and cougarwoman, both sacred and holy feminine energies in their own right. Each asks you to step beyond fear into the unknown and magical aspects of your self. We each seek entrance into the next level of our being, the energies of August 2014 will lead you to another level of personal and planetary initiation. On August 8, (8:8) Solar power will shift into material form to be seen and felt creating an accessible time portal within self. Uniting the two hemispheres of the brain initiating a total-recall sort of experience. This fusion births a level of light that even the blind can distinguish. So powerful is this ‘solar vibration’ we will have but one choice as it enters our energy field. A quieter, more settled week planetary wise, with only the Moon changing signs as it normally does, and Mercury changing signs from 1st August.

The Sun has now moved into dramatic, power seeking, extravagant, flamboyant and bossy Leo, with organization and good timing being important.

The Moon starts the week in domineering, exuberant, melodramatic Leo. On Wednesday it moves into responsive, inquisitive, logical Virgo. On Friday it moves into charming, harmonious, peaceful Libra, finishing the week there.

Mercury remains in ingenious, intuitive, compassionate & responsive Cancer until the end of the month. On 1st August it moves into organized, dogmatic, stubborn Leo, with tendencies to over dramatize.

… the star Sirius rises before our sun, it is a helical rising issuing a declaration that the ‘ATLANTEAN, EGYPTIAN, and SIRIAN NEW YEAR’ has begun.

The heliacal rising of a star occurs when it first becomes visible above the eastern horizon, for a single moment just before sunrise. Each day after the heliacal rising, the star will rise slightly earlier and remain visible for longer before the light from the rising sun makes it disappear. The same star will reappear in the eastern sky at dawn approximately one year after its previous heliacal rising. GENERAL PLANETARY INFLUENCES 21-27.7.2014

Again quite a busy week with more planetary movement, as the Sun moves into Leo, at the end of the week Mars changes signs, and Saturn begins travelling direct again, so quite a lot going on.

The Sun finishes it’s journey through emotional, caring, sensitive Cancer. On Wednesday it moves into commanding, distinguished, extravagant, organized Leo, with a need to feel more in control of our lives.

The Moon starts the week in defensive, possessive, security conscious Taurus. On Tuesday it moves into talkative, impulsive, flirtatious Gemini. On Friday the Moon moves again into caring, emotional, defensive & sensitive Cancer. On Sunday it moves into domineering, exuberant, melodramatic Leo, finishing the week there.

Mercury remains in ingenious, intuitive, compassionate & responsive Cancer.

Venus remains in caring, devoted, empathetic, Cancer, with overly emotional reactions at times.

Honor and hold stillness;
In stillness, without effort
You will be made strong for your return.
It is time to bring the strategy of the great into play.

You have garnered attention by your recent personal and public advancement, this is clear. Normally it would seem that it is time to use this notice as fuel to make an advance. It looks that way… but it is not such a time. Do not fall prey to the temptation of ego to take the good vibes, notice, and acclaim given you by your tribe and community to move further toward your goal of love and abundance. It seems energetically more than possible; it seems to be a no-brainer. But it is not. It is much more complex than that.

It is fine to let it appear that you are holding place and will use the acclaim and notice to advance. Let it look that way, but in reality hold still, at full stop. You need a break, a moment to consider where you have been and how far you have come. It will be a delicate balance to have the appearance that you are moving gracefully forward, all the while you are moving toward retreat.

Leave the stage without a farewell. Don’t be rude, be clever; smile, nod, and be gracious. You have created quite a stir with your actions, growth, and your diligence in keeping an open heart and an open mind. You have in your actions been working on yourself for sure; the key has been that whether you know it or not, this diligence has added to the progress for all, for the greater good.

Covert retreat, on its face, may look feel like it is deception, and you have worked hard not to be deceptive, not to hide your worth and to be seen as the truthful partner and leader. You have done well, but now you must be strategic. Strategy is not deceptive or dishonest; it is a necessary aspect of progress and process. To move forward you will benefit by first moving inward.

Ambition, vanity, ego, and desire would say
You should push forward now,
That you need to make “it” work.
An action such as this will only lead to humiliation and loss.
Quiet the yapping ego and make a dignified, gracious, and unseen retreat.

Just as skill and strength are involved in moving forward toward your goal, there is great strength and subtle skill to be mastered in this called-for retreat. The ego will tell you that with your influence you can “make things right” by engaging and setting the record straight, by meeting conflict head-on. Don’t go there now, it won’t work. You are in a situation in which if you were to do so, your words would not be heard, valued, or respected. See clearly the others involved in your career, business, family, and tribe who are operating from a place of control, doubt, or greed. To attempt to defend against this would-be folly, look to your short-term memory; the attempts to think or maneuver your way around the situation have not, so far, and will not in the future, be effective. Therefore, it is time to retreat.

The mountain shows that it is time to stand still.
Do not engage in battle; let go of desire.
Do not let pride keep you from this vital and proper action.
Calmly retreat and build strength for your reentry.

You will not benefit through confrontation, compromise, or trying to power through the obstacles that were so overtly placed in the road. Instead, take the attitude of the sacred mountain and hold still. This does not mean to do nothing and wait. What the hexagram Dun is teaching is that by making a well-timed and covert retreat you will be able to gather your strength and create a vision that will allow you to formulate a brilliant and well-thought-out plan that you will activate upon your return. Above all, refrain from making the announcement that you are going into retreat.
Keep in mind that in your retreat you will formulate a plan. To all but your trusted confidants of the heart, it will seem like you never went anywhere.

Note well and do not be naïve: there is brewing before you a battle between the dark and the light. Let it play out and do not engage. In retreat you will find purification. You will be able to think more clearly, love more freely, and regain the mantle of confidence and the longed-for feelings of inner peace. Any feelings of impotence will disappear.

Quite a change planetary wise this coming week, with 3 major changes, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter all changing signs. Jupiter being one of the generation planets makes it a very influential difference over the coming months in various respects. Next week it’s busy again, with the Sun and Mars both changing signs, and Saturn moving Direct again. It one way, the movements of the planets at times seems to be quite busy or nothing much at all. The FM is a Capricorn Moon / CANCER Sun FM. Looking at the positions of Jupiter and Pluto, I would estimate this to be more of a FM to “excess” than others are. People often take unnecessary and foolish risks during the summer, and this FM confirms that this weekend will be a dangerous one for some. New relationships will seem particularly intense, and tensions will run high in existing ones. Jupiter is very late in CANCER and may, in fact, be void of course. v/c is generally viewed as an unfavorable time; most of the time it is discussed in relation to the Moon because the Moon v/c window occurs every 2 to 3 days. Jupiter v/c occurs about once a year, and this one coincides with a FM. Interesting to an astrologer and almost certainly dangerous in some way.

GENERAL PLANETARY INFLUENCES

Another fairly quiet week, very similar to last weeks, but next week there are 3 planetary changes including Jupiter changing signs. This weeks horoscopes will in again in many respects seem very similar to last weeks, so it’s a much quieter week, although with some changes in aspects formed between planets.

The Sun remains in affectionate, affectionate, suspicious and responsive Cancer, with tendencies to withdraw when problems arise seek harmony.

The Moon starts the week in determined, jealous, strong-willed, Scorpio. On Thursday it moves in into broadminded, humorous, optimistic Sagittarius. On Saturday it moves into aloof, pessimistic, responsible Capricorn, with a Full Moon then, giving very strong reactions to people and situationsm finishing the week there.

Mercury remains in bright, quick-witted, chatty, flexible Gemini.

Venus remains in positive, playful Gemini, with good communication and mutual understanding with a partner. The rest of the planets remain much the same as for the last couple of months, so will read very similarly as previously. Some aspects formed by other planets to them, may change although some will remain the same for a while.

Mars remains in vigilant, just, harmonious Libra until Mid July, enabling good relations with others. The Generation planets,

Jupiter through to Pluto and the aspects formed between them remain more or less the same for this week. Jupiter remains in intuitive, principled, considerate Cancer, until next week, with care and help given to others.

Saturn remains in responsible, shrewd, strong-willed Scorpio, until the end of 2014. Saturn travels Retrograde for another week and half, giving a need for privacy, external influences may impact on us more than usual.

Uranus remains in assertive, blunt, energetic, self-willed Aries, for several years, and can make us individualistic and rebellious, unexpected events or disruptive emotional matters, may distract us, or help us see things differently.

Neptune remains in sensitive, intuitive Pisces for the foreseeable future, and helps us gradually develop more empathy, compassion, and build understanding, in a wide variety of ways, but also indicates a need to remain realistic. Neptune is now traveling Retrograde until Mid December, indicating boundaries between reality and illusion may blur at times, causing possible confusion, with a need to look at people and situations realistically.

Pluto remains in Capricorn for quite a few years, so is a very long term influence, showing knowledge gradually acquired on deeper levels, with balance, & realistic ways of recycling & developing our intuitive knowledge further, to use practically. Pluto travels Retrograde until late September, with a relentless search for inner truth, furthering our self knowledge approached the right way.

To-Do Before The “Trickster Planet” Mercury Goes Direct on July 1st

With all this hoopla about Mercury Retrograde, I’m sure you’re happy that it’s coming to an end in just a few short days.

The last 3 weeks have been a bad time to start new projects, sign contracts, begin diets, adopt new habits, or even kindle new relationships… but it has been a great time for introspection.

The trick is to be open to receiving the messages this “winged messenger” planet brings during it’s retro, whisper-in-your-ear phase, but WAIT until it’s heading forward before YOU take action.

Mercury goes direct on July 1st but before you go nuts cutting new deals or starting new flings, there are a few things you MUST do to make sure your loose ends are tied up, “i”s dotted, and “t”s crossed.


What loose ends do I want to tie up before the “Winged Messenger” goes direct on July 1st?

As you probably know already, Mercury appears to go backwards in the sky about 3 times annually. And when it does, this is the very best time for you to “RE”…
