ulu o ka laAloha kakahiaka … Hauʻoli aloha Poʻalima..I lā maikaʻi nou e ʻohoihoi …
Good morning and Happy Aloha Friday … may it be an enjoyable one

Ulu o ka lā

It is the growth, risings of the sun at full tide … So it has been said of that moment in time, just as the sunʻs rim touches the horizon …

Such beauty when one sees the sun come up in the early morning hours …
Ke Akua is telling us to rise and shine and greet today with aloha in your heart and spread it to all …

Please keep all those living in Hawaii and for those who have family here in your heart and prayers today as everyone awaits to see about the 2 storms heading to Hawaii …

Mahalo Ke Akua no keia lā
Thank you God for this day ..

Me ke aloha pumehana … Heartfelt gratitude
Kuʻ u leialoha … Beloved and Cherished Circle

Aloha and good morning … Have a great Thursday and enjoy…

He pō walea, he ao walea i ka laʻi.

A night enjoyed, a day enjoyed in the calm …

Peace brings undisturbed nights and days … Being here brings much peace to oneʻs mind as you watch the sun rise and set … Itʻs a place where one can relax oneʻs mind and be with Ke Akua and be grateful for what that person did that day or night … On oneʻs journey in life we should all find peace and tranquility here.

JUST FOR TODAY ….

EVENING MEDITATION (30 mins.) ~ Just for Today … If we are a global village, everything you do affects others. This week notice how your dreams and actions affect other people. You can bring light if you choose to.

Stories about the human colonization of other worlds were popular in the 1950s, with a promise of material abundance, and much of the population of the Western world excited about the possibilities offered by new technologies and a beneficial, authoritative science. That humans could extend their reach to other worlds seemed inevitable progress. Today, the popular faith in science and technology has drained away, to be replaced by a widespread, if often unspoken, fear. We have opened the box and seen where our ambition leads, and though we might quickly close it again and look away, it is too late in the day for any kind of innocence. We must move past the delusions of society.

“All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become.”  ~ The Buddha

Living with Aloha Spirit

There is value in persistence in the face of disappointment. The moral is sound: eventually, you won’t have to paddle, and your wave will take you to places you never thought you would go. A single wave is actually a great metaphor for your relationship to the world. You are unique, never to be repeated, but made of the vastness of the ocean.

Just For Today …

breaking day rainbowPay attention to your breathing and the feeling of your body, and investigate the sensations of being alive.

The matter of being alive is something to be investigated. I think we take it for granted too much. That we’re going to wake up in the morning and just go on, do our stuff, run around, go to our jobs, have careers, and all that … In my work I’m trying to find the unmediated self. I think there are aspects of self that are unchanged, that echo the past, the present and the future. I’m interested in that part of reality, not the culturally created one, although that’s a layer.

The Key To Awakening: Awaken The Master Navigator In YOU

the_deep_sleep_dreaming_by_MrsCullen

You are in a sleep, a sleep that is far from ordinary … But a feeling inside moved you to question the world around you … It made you restless and set you out on your search. That part of you is your Navigator here to rouse you from that sleep.

“The Universe left you a secret key.”

Do you want to know what this key is?

What if I told you it is something you already have? In fact, it is something you have probably heard of before, but cast it aside. Perhaps others discouraged you from using it. I wonder what you will do with it if I tell you. Will you listen to your Navigator and use it or push it back under the doormat and forever lock yourself out from awakening? The Universe gave us all a sense so that we can move to the place where the sleeper exists and bring back the knowledge we needed. It gave us the sixth sense. The sixth sense is the missing link that will open the door to awakening.

How does a Sleeper awaken?

The Navigator tells us what we need to do.

It guides and directs us through life, and we must learn to enhance that sense. We must enhance that
sense ….

SEEDS FOR MEDITATION …

pin_crane

You don’t need to know.

Life wouldn’t be this grand adventure if you knew what was coming.

Love the mystery.

This is Lana.  I have folded thousands of cranes for 30+ years and have imbued them with healing energies and left them for others as prayers for peace and blessings.  My expression of spreading the Aloha Spirit to anyone and everyone.  For many years while commuting on the Vallejo Ferry to and from San Francisco, I  folded and left cranes for people to discover and take away with them … I have left cranes at the various places I visited throughout my day.  Every December, I would use specially made beautiful Japanese washi papers to fold cranes and create ornaments for my Yule tree … only to give them away to friends and family during the course of the new year.  I find folding and sharing Origami cranes is a willful way to connect myself with those around me and the spirit of mystery.  Gassho.

I have folded thousands of cranes over 30+ years as tangible prayers for peace and blessings. I often share them with people at events i attend. – See more at: http://www.kindspring.org/story/view.php?sid=64217#sthash.xxRaud2j.dpuf

Sacredness in Hawai’i

pink-plumeria-ben-and-raisa-gertsberg

The first law of thermal dynamics states that energy cannot be created or destroyed.  The Hawaiians must have known this as  they believed that while the sacredness of a place could perhaps be defiled, it could never be lostEnergy extends to sacred places and the objects within them, such as pohaku.  Pohaku hold a lot of power and seek to be in their proper place at all times.  (Just ask anyone who has tried to bring black sand or lava pieces home with them after picking them up from Hawaiian shores.  The disasters cease when these items are returned to Hawai’i Nei.)  Although Hawai’i is not Mecca, Lhasa or Lourdes, the islands deserve to be recognized as the land of the gods and goddesses.  The land is not just filled with sacred objects, the land itself is sacred and blessed.   When one makes a journey, they must first chant to the place to which they are traveling, because no one else will ever experience what they will experience there.  Every experience mixes our own personal consciousness with the sacred power of the particular place.  And, in Hawai’i, there are many powerful and mysterious experiences to be had.

Divine Creator, Father, Mother, Son As One

If I, my family, relatives and ancestors have

Offended you, your family, relatives and ancestors,

In thoughts, words, deeds and actions

From the beginning of our creation to the present,

We ask your forgiveness.

Let this cleanse, purify, release and cut all the negative

And transmute these unwanted energies to Pure Light.

Aloha In Action

What can you do when your blessings feel so abundant you don’t know how they are all going to fit into your heart? Go into the world, provide comfort, live for people.

Who can you help today? Who can you smile at at the farmer’s markets, or be extra kind to at the bank? For the people you know and don’t know … do something special to let them know there is goodness in the world today, because there is goodness out there (and if you have forgotten that, then just by reminding others, you will remember.)

Ha’awina ‘Elua – Lesson Two

‘Aia i ka ‘olelo no ke ‘ola … ‘aia i ka ‘olelo no ka make
Words are either life-nurturing or death-dealing.

You speak while you exhale, which is immediately followed by taking a breath.  Therefore, if you don’t want to eat, that is, take into yourself negative thoughts/words, don’t utter them!

Ha’awina ‘Ekolu – Lesson Three

The Aloha Spirit is unconditional caring.  Compassion.  Hospitality.  It is our thoughts, empowered by a coherent (Aloha) Heart, that are thousands of times more powerful than thoughts energized by an incoherent heart.  It’s not about marching in the streets, writing lots of books, or making lots of money to influence the world.

Energize your thoughts with a coherent Heart and your perceptions brighten with Light.

Temper your intellect with compassion, develop your Mind from your Heart and you change your world and everything around you for the better.

Ha’awina ‘Eha – Lesson Four

Living Aloha means we always consider the other person and try to put ourselves in their shoes and understand life from their perspective, whether things go our way, or not.  This core idea of interpersonal communication defines the Hawaiian concept of LOKAHI (unity), where Lokahi is vital in the daily formula of harmonious community living … that ideal state called PONO.  We teach the Hawaiian way of maintaining harmony through coherent daily living.  Thus, Ho’oponopono is the ancient ritual essential to healing unbalanced relations with Aloha Spirit — through Acceptance, we achieve Unity as One.

Aloha Spirit Is About Acceptance

IKE
KALA
MAKIA MANAWA
ALOHA MANA
PONO

One of the most respected living Kupuna/Elder in Hawai’i Nei is Aunty Mahealani Kuamo’o-Henry, Kumu ‘Elele o Na Kupuna. According to Aunty, and contrary to Off-Island (mis)interpretation, the Hawaiian word ho’oponopono means Acceptance … not the New Age rubbish of “I’m sorry, please forgive me, I love you, thank you.”

In Acceptance, you Surrender by releasing the grip that is your Ego and make no judgments because All Are One. This is the message brought to us through Ka Lei Aloha I Na Kupuna … our beloved teachers of The Way … what we at The Halau know to be the Way of Aloha Spirit.

The Kupuna elders taught that when the heart and mind work together, we LIVE ALOHA. Knowledge and wisdom are found in ALOHA. Aloha starts within ourselves. The key to aloha is to apply it in your heart, then your mind and finally BE Aloha. These are the defining traits of character that express the charm, warmth and sincerity that are the People of Hawai’i. It is this working philosophy that has been presented as a gift to the people of our world. As you will come to know walking with The Halau here, Aloha is more than just a Word. It is the very Heart of Who We Are.
